Ins & Outs #1

In
  • Boots, scarves and sweaters. I definitely jumped the gun on this one seeing as it still hovers around the 70's in the afternoon, but I absolutely love how comfortable yet chic fall fashion is and I stand by my argument that my 8am class takes place during sub 60 degree weather so it's acceptable. I cannot wait for the temperature to drop more and for rain too, wind however can stay away please, my hair is crazy enough without it. Seriously though, my go to outfit for fall would have to be riding boots, thick leggings, oversized chunky sweater and a scarf. Warm and polished with very little effort.
  • Candles. Cooler temperatures and fall scents always encourage me to light up a pumpkin or cinnamon scented beauty. I guess summer scents are just too synthetically sweet for me, or scorching temperatures also may be the reason to avoid lighting a flame too. But nothing is better than opening up a window to a breeze, lighting up a candle and curling up with a good book.
  • Wake Me Up by Avicii. I hated this song when it first dropped however it has really grown on me and has even found its way into my current ringtone. This country song set to house music is quite catchy and a new favorite on my playlist.
  • Music in general is in. A year or two ago I was really into music, was the first to discover new songs and constantly updating weekly playlists of new material. That has faded somewhat but I'm getting back into the game, also with a number of festivals to look forward to, as well as the chance to see my beloved Above & Beyond in a month, I've been finding myself having more and more solo dance parties.
  • Oreos. I don't know what it is because I don't even like chocolate, but I have been obsessed with Oreos lately. Especially the birthday cake ones because they remind me of funfetti (aka best flavor of cake ever). I'm dying to get my hands on some of the candy corn flavored ones but I never seem to find them. If anyone has any hints on where I can find them, please let me know! Recently discovered something called Oreo Cake cookies where basically the cookie part is a soft cakey cookie thing...not as good as it sounds it's fairly tasteless and I just feel weird eating it, but I'll still eat them all anyways.

Out
  • Real tears were shed with the end of Breaking Bad and much like when Desperate Housewives, The Office and Lost ended, depression ensued.
  • Neon nail polish. I have embraced my jewel tones and greys to replace my fun hot pinks and lime greens. My nails are somewhat sad but happy to be masquerading as grown up mature, much like I do everyday.
  • Self doubt. This one sounds corny but it's time to turn over the metaphorical leaf in life and I thought releasing this to the internet will help keep me accountable.
