Review: Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stain

Hello new obsession! I picked up these Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stains from Walgreens for $3.29. They are available in 8 different shades and I have picked up 4, limiting my selections to only colors I like and that would compliment my skin tone. These are jumbo lip crayons that come in plastic sticks, and is similar to the Revlon Just Bitten stains in size and shape. They are twist up products, so no sharpener required. They claim to be a moisturizing balm infused with a light-weight stain, however I have concluded there is nothing light-weight about these stains. They smell delicious, like sweet tarts or cherry Chapstick, and no weird to taste to them like some lip products have. Despite how they all appear to be different colors, ranging from nudes to cranberries to red, I have found that all of them swatch out with pink undertones, so if you are looking for something that will give you a true cherry red, this will not give it to you. Here's a quick break down to the four colors I picked up.

Honey Love which turned out to be a my lips but better shade for me. Looking at the packaging it appears to be a dusty rose mauve color and it swatches out pretty much true to that, however a little more pink than the tube indicates.
Sweet Pink is not normally a color I would go after, because I am into the darker pigmented lips. However I decided to give a lighter pink a try. From the color it appears to be a light mauve, however swatched out it is actually a beautiful warm cotton candy pink.
Cranberry Frenzy is definitely my favorite of the bunch. It is a nice deep berry, almost like a hot fuchsia if that makes sense.
Rock n Rouge is the one that I believed would be a nice cherry red, my favorite go to color for night, however it is more of a pinky red, like a strawberry red. Still a great color so I think it will make a good base for some of my more true red lippies.
These balms go on really smoothly and are extremely pigmented. They have an even glossy finish and the colors are really vibrant and great. Unlike a lot of products that claim to be moisturizing, these truly are and I can apply them without an layer of Chapstick first. The most amazing thing about these is their staining power. I am constantly eating and so most of the time I don't bother to put anything on my lips because having to reapply every two minutes (yes I eat that often) is quite irritating. However you apply one of these stains, let it set for a few minutes, and even if you take a tissue and completely wipe away the product until there are no more lipstick kisses left, you are still left with extremely pigmented lips that look as if you just applied the product, except without the glossy finish. This stuff is amazing because I can eat and drink anything I want and the color will just refuse to budge. Don't worry about permanently staining your lips a shocking pink though, a quick swipe of a makeup remover wipe at the end of the day and you'll be back to your natural lip color.

I'm considering going back for Nude Chic, however I just haven't had great experiences with nude lipsticks, but for the price, it may just be worth a shot.
Do you have any of these balm stains? What are your favorite colors?
