Review: Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser

Foaming exfoliater. Pure magic. For the steep price of $32.95 you too can own your own jar of magical Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser. I first became acquainted with this baby as a sample from my Birchbox and was completely blown away by it. Full disclosure, I cashed in some Birchbox points to get a heavy discount, no way would I spend that much on a face wash! Price aside though I am absolutely in love with this stuff and a little really goes a long way so this sucker has lasted me a long while now with a little more than half the jar left.

The packaging describes it as a blend of lemongrass extract and natural sugar, and there is a pleasant lemon scent to it. The product is a grainy paste that magically transforms into a foam when you rub it together with sugar scrubbing beads. It takes only just a dimes size of product to clean my entire face so I have been able to move slowly through jar. This leaves my skin feeling so smooth and squeaky clean, and while it says you can use it once a day, I usually reserve it for every 2-3 days. Since I've started using it I've noticed an improvement in my pores and skin looking clearer and feeling better. The one drawback is that if any water gets inside it will slightly melt the formula in a thick honey consistency. The scrubbing foaming action still works the same, it just lose its dry, clumpy capabilities that makes it so easy to scoop out. If you get this stuff wet in the jar you must move fast because it may glob out of your fingers when you scoop it out. Nevertheless I give this cleanser a huge two thumbs up, however I do wish wish it was priced a little lower. It is up for debate whether I will repurchase this, I have yet to find a dupe for it, perhaps if I save up some more points I will invest in another jar down the road.

Do you have a favorite cleanser that sounds comparable to this? Please share so I can try some (hopefully less expensive) alternatives!
