September 2013 Favorites

Happy October everyone! September had been month of trying new products as well as rediscovering old favorites. Since it was my birthday month I did splurge on a few things and justified my actions as numerous presents to myself (look forward to a post reviewing just about the entire BH Cosmetics line), so I tried to narrow it down to the best of the best and grabbed a range of different products. Let's get started.

1. Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Detoxifying Scrub, I love this face wash for the morning. I don't know about you but I wake up in the morning feeling slightly grimy and oily from the night (wonder what I'm doing in my sleep...) so I have been on a hunt for exfoliating wash that was gentle enough to use daily. This stuff is perfect, it leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth and the scent is minimal to light.
2. Lorac PRO Palette, I have been lusting after this palette for awhile now and finally took the plunge and I don't regret it at all! The colors are so pigmented and easy to wear, my go-to everyday look is crafted with the use of light bronze, mauve and sable.
3. Pumpkin Pecan Waffles Candle, this scent from Bath & Body Works just screams fall yummyness to me. If pumpkin pies and buttermilk waffles had a baby, they would make this candle. The new mason jar designs is adorable too, cleaning out the empty jars and using them to hold Q-Tips is perfect.
4. Hervana, this was another splurge this past month for this beautiful multi-colored Benefit blush. I first tried it at my friend's Lash Bash party and immediately fell in love with the soft berry flush. It looks great layered on top of a cream blush or a cheek stain because it works to give a natural beautiful glow. It also smells heavenly like roses.
5. Magic Nude Liquid Powder Bare Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 18, for those rare days where I decide I need to be more presentable and put together I love grabbing this foundation. First of all this liquid to powder formula makes my skin so soft and the process of the magic just amuses me. Full review on this coming soon!
6. Maybelline Color Tattoo, I'm a little behind in this trend, but recently I have finally discovered the wonders of color tattoos! This particular one is in the shade Bad to the Bronze, and it makes a great base or all over the lid color. Very easy to just swipe on with my finger in the morning and get out the door.
7. Essie: For the Twill of It, obsessed with this color. It is the most beautiful dark chrome ever that sparkles between a deep magenta purple to a metallic green.
8. Essie: Going Incognito, a color from an older collection but it can still be found online. This one is a beautiful deep emerald green and that formula is great going on smoothly and completely opaque in one coat.
9. Maybelline Color Whisper, in Made-It Mauve is a great transition shade for fall. The color comes off as a rich mauve-y berry which is perfect for going from the summer pinks to the winter reds. I only got this a week ago but I am already so in love with it that I never leave house without it.
10. Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil, in Iced Mocha is a nice frosty deep bronze. Lately I've been loving the light frosty eye look and this color works great on the outer corners smoked out. The pencils are also a quick way apply eyeshadow when I am running late in the morning.
11. True Blue Spa Renewing Face Mask with Pumpkin, I searched everywhere to find a link for this and besides one crazed person selling it for $60 on Amazon, it was no where to be found. This was a seasonal product from Bath & Body Works last year which I am now glad I stocked up on because it clearly has not returned this year. This stuff is heavenly, it smells like pumpkin pie putting me into a merry fall mood while leaving my skin so soft and bright afterwards.

So that rounds up my favorites for the month of September. I am looking forward to trying more masks, moisturizers as well as breaking into my jewel toned nail polish and darker eye shadows that is deemed acceptable for fall. Individual reviews and raves will follow. What were your favorites for this month?
