Collective Wishlist Haul!

Awhile ago I had put up a wishlist of items I had been lusting after and I have managed to make some of my wishlist dreams come true. I thought it would be fun to have a little update on the ones I managed to get a hold of. I have had the chance to try everything out a few times already so here are my impressions on everything and whether they lived up to my expectations.

  • Maybelline Babe Skin instead of the POREfessional. I was all ready to get the POREfessional however I heard about this Maybelline product and was lucky enough to get my hands on it (it won't come to the US until next year) and there will be a full review on this item coming up but for now all I will say is whoa.
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk. I bought this and then was like why did I think this would work? It's such a bold burgundy I have a very hard time to working with it, I need to play around with it more because I can imagine a beautiful brown and pomegranate smokey eye, I just haven't found an occasion where that would be appropriate yet.
  • Maybelline Color Whispers in Rose of Attraction, Pin Up Peach, Berry Ready, and Who Wore It Red-Er. I think it's my life goal to own every single one of them. Love love love love! The only one I regret buying is Who Wore It Red-Er, I believed it would have been more of a red color but it ended up being more of a hot pink that just does not look cute with my complexion.
  • the Balm Nude 'Tude. After getting my hands on this and trying to work with it for several weeks I don't understand why I wanted it so badly. There will be a full review on this coming up, but for now basically there are two colors in this entire palette I like and I can actually use which is definitely a waste of my money I think.
  • Physicians Formula Bronze Booster in Medium-Dark. I am SO in love with this! It didn't work out as well for contouring like I imagined, however it is fantastic for an all over tan and works perfectly adjusting my face to better match the rest of my body. The shimmer in this is very subtle and really makes my skin glow. I'm looking forward to trying out some more items from this brand.
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded instead of Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. So I purchased this in place of the Mac Paint Pot because I realized that this would work as better color match as a base for my eye shadows. I also just like using it as an all over the lid color with a winged liner for a very bright eyed and simple everyday look.
  • Nyx Finishing Powder. This is exactly what I've been looking for! I must admit I was skeptical about the white powder and getting that white cast look but dusting this on is wonderful, sets my foundation true to its original shade.
More updates to come as I slowly get my hands on my wants!
