November 2013 Favorites

I'll be honest I haven't been wearing a lot of makeup this month, it's been stressful especially with the return of my sleep problems and I just really didn't have the patience to play around with stuff. Despite buying a ton of it lately I will admit that my daily look (if I even bother at all) is brows, mascara, a little eyeliner on top and then some sort of lip product. With that being said I have few beauty favorites this month and more random ones. Mixing up the post formats this time with some closeup shots and appropriate swatches of the beauty products at the end of the post.

  • Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner. I have shaky hands, so typically I stay away from liquid eyeliners because that just turns into a hot mess 8 out of 10 attempts. However for Halloween I just decided I really wanted a perfect cat eye so for some reason I decided to go out and buy an expensive liner for a potentially one time gig. Good thing I ended up loving this because the formula mixed with the applicator tip makes for the most effortless application that even I can't mess up. Safe to say on those days where I feel fancy I've been rocking the wings.
  • L'Oreal Magic Skin BB Cream. This one is no surprise after I dedicated an entire rave review on it. Those days where I just wake up with awkward redness it's quick and easy to just even everything out and make myself look more put together than I really am. Check out that other post for more details, swatches and pictures.
  • Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in Medium. I'm going to need to get a shade lighter now that I'm turning white due to the season but this has been a miracle dealing with my dark under eyes I've been sporting. Great coverage that lasts all day and my favorite part is the fact that there's a brush attached to the tube so it's easy to apply straight to my skin and then lightly blend in with a sponge.
  • Nyx Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee. So butter glosses in general I have been in love with. They just smell so good and feel so nice on my lips. This color in particular I've been grabbing everyday because it is the nicest nude shade with a hint of pink.
  • bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Maverick. This is the most lovely glossy rosewood shimmer that is just a great neutral warm lip color. I got this from the Sephora lip sampler pack so this is just a sample size but I will definitely get the full size when this is done.
  • Gold Double Chain Necklace from Tobi. I got this on clearance from the site awhile ago so I can't find the link anymore but I love this necklace. It has the power to dress up any plain t-shirt or tank top so I look put together and sophisticated.
  • Gone series by Michael Grant. This is a series of six books that I have been obsessed with and reading all month long. It's Lord of the Flies meets Stephen King's Under the Dome meets Marvel superheros. Yes, it's as wild as it sounds.
  • Tree Hut Shea Sugar Almond & Honey Body Scrub. As you saw in my empties post I finished up a body scrub that I wasn't crazy over, but I'm pleased to say that I found a great replacement. I mean let's just talk about this smell, delicious. It's an assault of almond which is up there in my all time favorite scents along with coconut and cake, sometimes I just stand in my shower and inhale this stuff, smart thing to do? Probably not, but it still happens.
  • Undercover Boss. Don't worry I understand that this show isn't very genuine, I mean it's clear that these bosses go on just for publicity for the company and probably a huge tax write off for all of their generous gifts, but I thought it was so fascinating looking at all the different roles that existed in huge well known corporations.
