7 Under $7: Lips

Welcome to the second installment of my 7 Under $7 series. This time I'm going to talk about lip products. I tried to come up with a variety of products, ranging from glosses, liners, etc. but honestly in my experience there are a TON of affordable lip products out there that are really comparable to the $20+ high end products, so here are just some of my favorite picks at the drugstore.

1. Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick. These retail for $0.99 (!!!) and can be found at Walgreens and most drugstores I think. These are magical, first of all so cheap! and also they are SO creamy and long lasting. There are basically no transferring onto skin once this stuff sets, and it's just amazing value for your dollar.
2. Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain. These retail for $2.99 and can be found at Walgreens, I believe Kmart too. They come in 8 shades that are definitely all more pink based but they are gorgeous. Super moisturizing and shiny, they really do stain the lips nicely. Often I like to wear this underneath lipsticks or glosses that are more drying and they work as a nice barrier, as well as providing complexity to the color.
3. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipliner in Clear. These retail for $6.99 and Ulta has been the only place I have been able to find this guy! This is incredibly genius, I'm specifically calling out the clear because it is a universal lip liner! Works with any color!! Mind blown.
4. Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick. These retail for $5.99 and can be found in most drugstores. These are truly phenomenal lipsticks. The colors are gorgeous and they are so creamy and easy to apply. They also have a great staining power which I feel always makes your lipstick last longer. Even through eating I found that these lasted great. Also the packaging is just adorable, I love the sassy little signature on the matte black tube, it just looks so chic.
5. Nyx Butter Glosses. You all saw this one coming. These retail for $5.00 and can be found in Target and Ulta. I won't go on about these anymore than I have, but you guys know this is my favorite lip gloss, moisturizing, delicious smelling and so buildable.
6. Maybelline Color Whisper. This is also a no brainer. This is kind of a stretch, it can be found for $5.99 at Target, but sometimes it is over $7. I won't go on about this either, just know they are moisturizing, buildable with a great range of colors to choose from.

7. Chapstick. This one seems silly, but you can buy them for a dollar just about anywhere. I have very particular lips and I have tried everything, and honestly everytime I find myself going back to plain old Chapstick brand Chapstick. My favorite one is the Strawberry scented one, but all of them I think are just solid staples to keep in your arsenal.

Honorable Mentions:
I really couldn't just pick seven so here are a few honorable mentions that just had to squeeze their way into this!
  • Jordana Easyliner For Lips. These retail for $1.99 and can be found at Walgreens and Kmart. I love these, they work just as good as the expensive ones (in my opinion) and come in 15 different colors. I like that they are retractable so no need to sharpen.
  • elf Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick. These retail for $2.00 and I found mine at Target, but I imagine it can be found at most drugstores too. This item is really unique, I was expecting it to be more of a lip crayon in pigmentation but it actually is lip gloss in a chubby crayon form. It is super sheer and creamy, but the stick makes it easier to apply than in the traditional tubes that lip glosses come in.
