December 2013 UNfavorites

This month was spent revisiting a lot of neglected problems, and for a few I rediscovered just why I've left them sitting there collecting dust. There has been a lot of makeup hauling but I was pretty careful about obsessively looking up reviews and swatches so thankfully nothing that I've spent my money on (recently) has been a miss.
  • Davines This Is a Sea Salt Spray. I got this one in some type of subscription box and since I'm collecting up quite a stockpile of texturing and such products decided to give this one a shot. Now I remember why it was there, not only did it have an overwhelming seaweed smell (who actually wants to smell like the beach when they have beachy waves?) it dried my hair out like crazy, no amount of hair masks could rescue it to the point where I'm forced to chop off a few inches of it. This most certainly got tossed as soon as I was done taking the picture for this post.
  • Clean & Clear Morning Burst Shine Control Facial Cleanser. This stuff works okay, it does do a great job of cleaning off even that oily mess that is the Pond's Cold Cream (read more about that hot mess here) but it has such an overwhelming lemon cleaner smell I just can't stand it. So happy to be almost done with this.
  • Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo. I found myself in a pinch with gross hair, no ability to wash it, but at a Walmart, so I picked this guy up. This does not make my hair feel clean at all, and it leaves an awful grey cast on my hair which I haven't found any other product that actually does that. I can't wait to be done with this and just go out and splurge on my beloved Klorane (which can now be found at Urban Outfitters!!).
What are some of your unfavorites this month? Did anyone else have a different experience with these products?
