UPDATE: Project Pan! & Project Pan REMIX

Brace yourselves, this is about to be quite a lengthy post.
I know it doesn't LOOK done but there's just no way I can finish that blue. So I am deeming this product finished.

Finally done! So happy, this Project Pan is a wrap!

Like I mentioned I've give up on that eye shadow, so I guess you can kind of say I failed Project Pan? There is just no way I can even hit pan on that blue, it just does not work with my style at all so that guy is just getting chucked.

So the next version I am embarking on is Project Pan REMIX! I've borrowed this idea from one of my favorite YouTuber's TheBlushedBeauty, I absolutely adore her and if you aren't subscribed to her yet I command that you go right now and do so! The concept of Project Pan REMIX is that I will have five products (left side) that I am treating like a traditional Project Pan, using it until it's gone and reporting on the progress every month, and then five products (right side) that I will be using that are just forgotten products and I want to incorporated more into my daily routine. Then I will have one product (center) that I will swap in on a weekly basis as a rotating "use me more" type of thing. Each month will have a theme for the center product and this month is lippies! The format of reporting progress will be a little different from what I've been doing, but I will explain more and it will be clear once I introduce the products, so let's begin!

Left Side (Traditional Project Pan)
  • Almay Smart Shade Skin Matching Makeup in Light/Medium. I've had this for awhile now and it's just not the right shade for me. I'm taking advantage of my winter paleness to use up this lighter foundation.
  • Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara. This is just one of about twenty mascaras I need out of my life. I am in love with the Rimmel Lycra Lash Extender Mascara which sadly got discontinued (or at least I've never seen it again) so I picked this one up hoping it would be something similar, not even close. Worst part is I got a pack of two thinking I would love it just the same...and this is only the first tube I've cracked into.
  • Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin. This has been featured in an UNfavorites post before and I'm kicking myself for losing the receipt, I honestly just don't understand cream blushes very well and how to apply them but maybe through this process I will learn. Also this peach just isn't very flattering against my skin tone, I'm more of a fan of the bronzey and lighter rose colors. I also question how I will know when I've used this up too.
  • Lancome Eye Shadow Quad. I know I'm going to regret putting another eye shadow into my Project Pan but these are such small little circles of products and one is already basically gone, I decided to just go for it. These colors are much better than that awful blue and easier to wear during the day time so I'm confident I should be able to have success with this one.
  • Starlooks Kohl Pencil in Obsidian. I got this guy in my Ipsy bag and honestly it isn't a bad pencil, however I still want to use it up to free up space and because Starlooks isn't an easily accessible brand (read: I can't find this in a drugstore), so better just to use it up and return to my trusty L'Oreal and Jordana liners.
Right Side (Products to Use More)
  • Ben Nye Final Seal. I only have a little bit left and it really deserves to be on the left side however I've already ran out of space here so this setting spray will just need to sit here until I can rotate it in over there. I really don't think setting sprays work and regret wasting money on them, but for now I will start using this more often for the sake of freeing up space.
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. When I first picked this up I loved it and used it everyday and now it's just been kind of cast to the side, this month I vow to pick it up more and fall in love again.
  • Benefit's POREfessional. This just isn't my favorite primer so I want to try and use this more just to finish it. This is just a little sample size and seriously has taken me forever to get through.
  • Benefit's Watts Up. This is just not my favorite highlighter, but I got it in my birthday gift from Sephora last year so I want to start using this everyday in hopes that I can transfer it over to the left side soon.
  • theBalm InStain in Swiss Dot. I got this in a Birchbox once month and I'm really not sure why I haven't used it more. I'm in love with theBalm's Hot Mama, so why not this one too? This is great to layer over the Bouncy Blush for a color that I am more comfortable with.
Center (Weekly Lippie Product)
  • Week One. Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait. Believe it or not this was my very first lippy product. The sparkle is a little much and the color is a little light so this is why this guy's been cast to the side.
  • Week Two. elf Lip Gloss Stick in Movie Star. This is truly a fantastic product, hydrating with a sheer wash of color, I want to challenge myself to pick this up more so this is what I have chosen to reach for more in the second week.
  • Week Three. Nyx Lipstick in Tea Rose. I don't think I've ever used this before. It's a beautiful creamy pink, I need to go ahead and use this while I'm still winter pale because light pink lipsticks and tan skin just doesn't go together in my book.
  • Week Four. Wet n Wild Lipstick in Breeze. I've worn this once, it's just a nice shimmery nude. I love the formulation for this 99 cent lipstick so definitely making an effort to wear this more.
