7 Under $7: Nail Polish

I can't believe it's taken this long for me to throw together a 7 Under $7 for nail polish but here it is finally. Actually no, I'm a total Essie snob so I haven't really ventured much outside of that, but doing my weekly Mani Mondays has helped me discover some great (affordable) brands so finally I have 7 solid nail polishes to share! You can find a weekly run-down for most of these nail polishes so I'll just give a short and sweet highlights recap, if you're looking for more in-depth and with pictures, click the Mani Monday at the nav bar and scroll on through for the brand!

  • Wet n Wild Megalast. Priced at $2 and often involved in BOGO deals this is one of the most affordable brands in the list. Personally I didn't find it that long lasting however it applied beautiful and dried extremely quick, so for the price, this is definitely one to consider for those who dedicate only five minutes to a weekly manicure.
  • Color Club. Around 4-6 dollars, there's a huge range of color as well as some of the best glitters and chromes I have ever seen. Color Club is a great option with a fairly decent wear time.
  • China Glaze. For about $6 and often found in BOGO at various stores, this is a great nail polish that remains stubbornly chip proof for a full seven days. The formula varies color to color for application but I've found that once it is dry and set on your nails it pretty much refuses to chip.
  • Kardashian Beauty. For $5 a bottle this rivals the Wet n Wild in drying time. The brush in these bottles are amazing, they provide one perfect thin coat of nail polish in about two swipes and it is so easy to achieve a perfect manicure with sharp edges. I don't support the family at all, but someone really knew what they were doing when they came up with this formula and bottle.
  • elf. For something like a dollar you get a pretty decent nail polish. This won't last you all week, but if you want something very cheap with pretty solid formulation across the spectrum, pick up some elf nail polish.
  • Essie. I'm cheating a little bit with this one but you CAN find Essie for less than 7 ($6.97 at the Rack!) and it's hands down my favorite nail polish ever so I just had to put it in. Especially when you're looking for pastels, Essie is THE brand to go for.
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro. These nail polishes are so true to color from bottle to nail that it had to make the list. Also super quick drying, with chip and smudge resistant power, definitely a solid drugstore line to check out.
What are some of your favorite affordable nail polish brands?
