Mani Monday #15: Sinful Colors

This was such a messy application. It was streaky and lumpy and just really difficult to get an even coat so even now there are still some streaks but I just gave up. Sinful Colors can be found in a lot of places for about $2. While application was horrible I can say that it dried super quick with no smudges.

Mani Monday is a weekly feature where I put a different brand of nail polish to a 7 day test. I chronicle my activities for each day with thoughts of things that could potentially attribute to chipping my polish. I use the same base and top coat each week, and this week applied two coats of Sinful Colors' Easy Going. There will be a full list and links to all previous Mani Mondays at the end of this post.
Day One. Ew my hands are so dry, that skin around my nails are cracking and peeling like crazy. I'm apologizing now for the horrific pictures that are to come. Right away I noticed that there is a scratch across the top of my right middle finger, otherwise no chips.
Day Two. Fairly typical day. I did dig into some plastic wrapping around some new products pretty viciously and it's still chip free. It looks a little raggedy around the cuticles but I suspect this is due to my dry hands.
Day Three. Pretty much the same. This streakiness is starting to bother me though.
Day Four. The polish is cracking! I've never had this happen before but 7/10 nails have a nice web of cracks across the surface. Still no chips but that scratch on my right middle finger is more prominent now as well as the cracks. Hard to photograph but trust me, it's there.
Day Five. Hair washing. The nails have continued cracking, it's really not photographing at all but every single nail has cracks all over it. There's some chips forming on my right thumb nail along the edge. It's just looking bad at this point.
Day Six. Crack city. You can see it a bit in the photographs today. Also that major chip on my left pointer finger, that appeared post shower so something crazy went on during that.
Day Seven. My cuticles are feeling so dry and there's this mysterious slash on my finger, so much confusion. Anyways, all of the sides are peeling up and looking pretty beat up. A few of the cracks are getting significant to the point where if I kept wearing this polish huge chunks would start peeling off.

Final Thoughts. This polish gets an F in my book, stay away. This my only, and what will be my last, experience with Sinful Colors because it was horrible start to finish. First of all the application was really bad, than the cracking that happened right away followed by the raggedy chipping, just awful. The only thing good about it was that it dried really quickly, but what's the point in a fast drying nail polish that can't even last half a day?
