March 2014 UNfavorites & Face Wash Challenge Check-In!

I got lucky. I've bought a lot of things lately and I'm pleased all my researching has paid off! I must say that the only unfavorites I've found are things that have been sitting in my collection that I just forgot about but with Project Pan, March Madness and my need to obliterate my Chapstick/lip balm collection I've picked out a few items that just ruined my life this month. Also I went into writing this and did NOT forget about my face wash challenge, so a much better (and thought out) update will follow my unfavorites!

First up is this Noya Vanilla Lip Balm. It smells lovely like a sweet vanilla cupcake and it is extra creamy and smooth going on the lips (it also tastes delightfully cupcakey too!) but this thing dried out my lips like crazy! Within 30 minutes it was already dry and it ended up making my chapped lips so painfully cracked. I've heard a lot of people out there loving this stuff but my lips were just not having it.

Next is this elf Baked Eyeshadow Palette that I pulled out for week #3 of March Madness. If you read that post you will see how unbelievably unpigmented it was and it just made a huge mess as I was attempting to dig out the color. Now I know, baked eyeshadows from elf is a big no- no.

Finally with all the eyeshadow I've been applying I tried out a few different primers and the Benefit Stay Don't Stray is my least favorite by a mile. All I can say is that it doesn't stay and definitely strays. I do have very oily eyelids so it's reasonable that the formulation just wasn't powerful enough for me, but once this little sample sized guy is used up I won't be picking it up.

I've been really focusing on Garnier Fruit Gelee and Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser and they are both coming to the end of their life. I'll admit that the Suki Foaming Exfoliating Face Wash hasn't been touched all month, the sugar has really solidified in this and it's really difficult to get it out to use. The St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub has been dipped into a few times and I've actually been using it on my chest a lot so I'm pleased with a new use for this.
