UPDATE: Project Pan REMIX

Another month with some progress made on Project Pan REMIX! I'm still working out exactly how I want to run this show so we'll see if the format changes. The concept of Project Pan REMIX is that I will have five products (left side) that I am treating like a traditional Project Pan (full-time), using it until it's gone and reporting on the progress every month, and then five products (right side) that I will be using that are just forgotten products and I want to incorporate more into my daily routine (think of this as part time Project Pan). Then I will have one product (center) that I will swap in on a weekly basis as a rotating "use me more" type of thing and this month I'm going to work through my perfume samples!  The format of reporting progress will be a little different from what I've been doing, but I will explain more and it will be clear once I introduce the products, so let's begin!

Left Side (Traditional Project Pan)

  • Benefit's POREfessional. Using it everyday and I swear there is still a bit in there but I just can't squeeze it out. Finally POREfessional you are gone! I did start to like it a bit more this month, I think it's because my skin is changing from oily to combo because it felt less like an oily mess on my face. Still I didn't really see it doing anything for my pores so this still won't be something I pick up again.
  • Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara. Wow this stuff was resilient, but I'm proud to say it is gone!
  • Starlooks Kohl Pencil in Obsidian. I really do like this eyeliner a lot so I guess the fact that it never seems to shrink should be a good thing? I've used this everyday but now I'm started to see a definite dent in this
  • Maybelline Master Shape. I'm surprised but I used this until the very last day but I'm proud to say it is gone!
  • Benefit's Stay Don't Stray. Despite not wearing a lot of eye shadow this month I actually used this a lot because I find that since it is light/medium color it really helps to brighten up my eyelid (I know this sounds weird) but it gave me a more natural awake look. Looking forward to being done with this but that's probably not for another month or two.
    New item for April!
  • Benefit's Benetint. This just got forgotten last month and I'm desperate to finish it up so this gets tossed into the left side this month. I hope I can finish it this month so lips and cheeks get ready to be stained!
  • CoverGirl Flamed Out Mascara. I'm a huge fan of this mascara but it has just been forgotten in the shuffle. I feel like it's almost out, or drying up so might as well dedicate this month to using it up so I can try out some of the other millions of mascaras I have.
  • Stila Lip Glaze in Black Cherry. This was in the rotating section last month and was my least favorite out of the three so I've decided instead of letting it sit there and collect dust to might as well throw it in as an item to use up! I think this will be gone in a month just because it's already half gone and that was just after two uses.
Right Side (Products to Use More)
  • Physician's Formula Bronze Booster. I'll admit I started getting into the tanning routine this past month so I've been using less bronzer. For some reason my neck/chest tan a lot slower than the rest of my body so this has been useful evening things out. I just love this bronzer, I wish it wasn't so bulky though.
  • NYX Shadow Stick in Iced Mocha. I was really not in an eye shadow mood this month, I used it maybe once or twice and everytime I did I was in love with it. A good reminder how handy these shadow sticks are.
  • Benefit's Benetint. Somehow this guy got lost at the bottom of the container and I COMPLETELY forgot it was in there and therefore didn't reach for it once the entire month. Fail.
New Items for April!
  • Nars Orgasm/Laguna Duo. I bought this so long ago and still haven't used it once. I'm putting it here this month so I will do it.
  • Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in Pearl. Cute little sample I got which is a beautiful water liner that just gets lost among all my other liners, it's time this guy got some use!
  • Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector. This is a beautiful liquid highlighter that I got as a sample awhile ago and just never used it that much.

Center (Weekly Lippie Product)
Doing this showed me how much I like these things (and how little product is in each stick). I'm a HUGE fan of Joy and Dreamy now, both natural looking colors, one pink and one nude-y, and sadly disappointed by Black Cherry which is a gorgeous color in the tube but the formula applied badly. This month I am jumping back to Perfume Samples since my allergies are finally under control so I think I will have more success. Since feasibly each tube is about 2-3 wears I'm going to go ahead and put every sample I have into this section this month and I'm confident I can use them all up! I have a total of 7 samples they are: Juicy Couture Couture La La Malibu, Gucci Flora, Ralph Lauren Romance, Philosophy Living Grace, Honey by Marc Jacobs, and two samples of Prada Luna Rossa.

  1. I've been wanting to do a project like this myself. Especially for my lip products - I have SO many!
