What's in my Trash?! #6

Another month, another round of empties. It's been a successful month of project pan and go through a good amount of makeup that is surprising. I started using up some samples too so expect to see a lot of foil packets for awhile I finally realized how senseless it was to have packets of one time use stuff just sitting there taking up space.

  • CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara. This is my favorite drugstore mascara so of course I will repurchase and I already have, plus a few back ups! Nothing else separates and defines like this does, no matter what mascara I'm using this is always the last coat I go through my lashes with.
  • Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream Sample. I brought this travelling with me and this little stinker lasted me all five days plus more. It was a decent eye cream, it didn't do anything crazy for me so I don't think I'll be picking it up since I'm perfectly happy with what I use now.
  • Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge Shampoo & Conditioner. This stuff smells sooo good! How I managed to use both up at the same time baffles me too, I say sorcery! I repurchased the shampoo but not the conditioner because I've started using just hair masks and deep conditioners. I only wash my hair twice a week so might as well give my hair the good stuff!
  • Tarte Maracuja Oil. I both love and hate this product. I am a HUGE fan of the oil itself, I use it every night now as a moisturizer and my skin hasn't felt or looked better, but the Tarte packaging of it is way overpriced. This is roughly half a fluid ounce and costs about $40-$50 while I just bought a bottle of pure passion fruit seed oil for $20. Also the Tarte oil is much thicker and doesn't absorb as well as the pure oil does. I won't repurchase Tarte but I definitely will be buying the oil for years to come!
  • Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo. I didn't like this at all. It didn't really freshen up my hair and it left a crazy white cast. I bought this while I was traveling without doing research so won't be picking this up anymore.
  • Maybelline Master Shape Brow Liner. I didn't like this at all, it was way to creamy so it was hard to make it look natural and it would literally slip off my oily skin. Won't be getting this again either.
  • Benefit POREfessional Mini. This was in my project pan and I actually started liking it near the end, made my skin feel really nice when I put it on. However I don't wear foundation all that often so I don't really need a primer, and I also have a bunch of primer samples (even pore filling ones) so I won't need to repurchase any primer, nor will I want to even after all the samples run out.
  • Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara. Not a fan, I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this but I finished it up in my project pan. I actually have an entire brand new tube of this stuff in my stash that I just refuse to use.
  • L'Oreal Liner. I'm really not sure what this is anymore the name was long rubbed off, but I definitely know that it is a L'Oreal liner. Just like most black liners out there, I don't think I will need to run out and specficially pick this one up though.
  • Benefit POREfessional Samples. More POREfessional! I told you I had a lot of samples...Same as above, won't be buying this anytime soon.
  • Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Sample. I'm a fan of the blemish control one from the same line but this original one, I'm not crazy over. It's super silicone-y so it made my skin feel greasy and slippery. Also because of that I felt like my foundation slipped a lot the day that I used this. The blemish one I would buy, but this one I would not.
  • NARs Tinted Moisturizer Sample. I'm surprised the color was pretty on point for this sample since I got it just randomly with an online order. When I first applied it it looked really nice on my skin, decent coverage for just a tinted moisturizer and natural looking, but definitely not oily skin friendly. There was a lot of shine just three hours later and it was feeling oily and slick.
  • P.A.T. Skin Perfecting Gel. I don't really get what this was suppose to do but I don't think it did anything. I won't be buying this because I just don't get it.
  • Garnier Fruit Gelee. This was a fun face wash, I just liked how jelly it was, but it didn't do any worse or any better than anything. I did hate how hard it was to get the last of it out of the bottle, the pump was kind of tricky. I might repurchase this in the future, but for now I won't.
  • Illume Go Be Lovely Lavish Hand Creme Sample. This turned out to be a very generous sample size, I used it every day for almost two weeks before it ran out. It kind of had a floral clean soap scent and it was pretty good but not anything amazing that I would run out and buy.
