Review: L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara

I must say that my first impression on this is pretty freaking awesome! Ever since I learned about L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara I had been combing the stores hunting for it, so I must say I was thrilled when I found it last week at my local Walmart and purchased it as my allotted monthly drugstore pick. Normally I don't review mascaras because I find that difficult to do for pictures, etc. but I am so impressed with this stuff that I had to make an exception! So I picked up this tube in Blackest Black for about $6.49 which is an absolute steal. This is apart of the L'Oreal Voluminous collection and it promises to deliver a punch of volume and Manga-esque lashes. Those who aren't familiar with Manga just need to know that it is what Japanese comics are called and the girls are drawn with fat, spiky lashes. That being said this is a clumpy mascara, so people who aren't fans of spider lashes will probably hate this.

It's a fairly wet formula and I must say that the size of the brush was a surprise to me, I wasn't expecting it to be so long. The most unique part is that it is a flex brush, which isn't something I have ever tried before. After seeing some reviews I did see people complain saying it was hard to get straight to the base of the lashes but I didn't have the problem at all. In fact I felt like because the brush moved around it did a better job coating each individual lash compared to a stationary brush.
Right away with one coat my lashes were turning fat and spiky. Sorry I have stick straight lashes that point down, and I'm so bad with an eyelash curler I just can't even, but I hope it's still obvious in the pictures in the difference with and without. It definitely gave me the volume that it promised in the spiky Manga effect and I just loved the result. Sorry in advance that I have a crazy look in my eye in the no mascara picture, I just don't even know.
Finally the last thing that really impressed me was despite not being waterproof, it ended up wearing really great all day, but it was very easy to get off at the end of the day. The first time I tried this out I went to an amusement park. It was close to 100 degrees that day so between the constant sweating and endless water rides, my mascara did not run one bit! This guy is definitely moving to the top of my favorites list and especially when I layer my Covergirl Clump Crusher on top of it, this is really a dynamite duo! I highly recommend everyone try this mascara out since it is fantastic and even if you don't love it, the price won't set you back that much at all.

What are your thoughts on the Miss Manga mascara? Love it or leave it?
