Preemptive Birchbox Brags

Finally decided to cash in my points and here's what I got! I was so excited about all the things I decided to order that I couldn't wait for it to arrive so I'm doing a preemptive haul today! Again, I know, spending ban. I think it's pretty safe to say I failed at doing it, but my purchases have definitely been more calculated and thought out. I did achieve kicking the habit of buying things on a whim just because I'm having a bad day so some good came out of this right? Or at least that will be what I keep telling myself...

First I got two products from Michael Todd, these are just my two favorite night time face washes that I will be using regularly once I'm through all these sample sized ones which is the Honey and Oat Gentle Deep Pore Cleanser. This wash is fantastic, gentle but deep cleaning and it's the perfect daily facial wash! The other one I need a replacement for is the Tropical Fruit Enzyme Exfoliating Scrub, which is my fabulous exfoliator. I've tried many scrubs but this one is gentle and really works well with my skin. You can check out my full review on it here and I'll add a review for the Honey and Oat cleanser soon!

After reading a lot of reviews and such about toners I decided to pick up the Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner because a lot of people have said that using this has really helped with their oily skin! I'm willing to try anything at this point, and Paula's Choice is a good brand that I trust plus this toner is alcohol free! I really didn't get toners before but just based off the clean feeling it gives my skin after I apply it, I'm a huge fan now. With all the cleansing I put it through (cleansing oil, gentle facial wash, exfoliant nearly everyday, I know it's excessive) it really could use all the help it can get.

I sent out a plea for help awhile back on a good cuticle cream and then things got crazy for awhile but now I'm finally getting around to picking one up. It was suggested to me that I try the J.R. Watkins Hand & Cuticle Salve so I picked that up in the Aloe & Green Tea scent. With all the acetone baths I put it through, my cuticles will really be thanking me with this purchase. I'll admit I went back and forth because after reading the reviews it seemed like it was really greasy, but then I realized this would be something I would do as part of my nighttime routine so why would a little grease bother me??

With skin problems galore (and the desire to get the free Ace sample pack!) this Shea Terra Organics Authentic African Black Soap was added into my cart! I've heard great things about African black soap, how it helps dramatically with acne as well as lightening scars it seemed worth it to try it out for myself! I know I could get it cheaper off Amazon but since I was already here and need a few more dollars in my order I just went for it. If I do like it you can bet that I will be picking up that six pack!

The last thing I got was this adorable Birchbox iPhone Amplifier. It was inexpensive and seemed like it would be effective for my needs which is playing music and audio books in a room as I'm cleaning and whatnot so why not!

I'm also excited because this order will come with a total of five samples! It will basically be like receiving another Birchbox! I can't wait for my order to come and keep your eyes peeled for some reviews, especially on the soap, cuticle salve and toner!
