What's in my Trash?! #8

I have to say I think these empty posts are my all time favorite, they just never get old! It's like a mini review of a million products and gives me an incentive to get through all these samples. As much as I like to believe that I'm a world traveller and hoard my samples for my journeys, let's be real, I ain't got the time or money for that! I must say that I've used up a lot of my smaller samples at this point and with the ban on shopping I'm not collecting a ton more at the time so from here on out the amount of empties I have may start shrinking a little.

  • Stila Coming Clean Gel. From one of my many sample bags with purchases that I accumulated in my dark days of uncontrollable shopping (ahem roughly three months ago). I like it, it was nothing special though, it made my face clean and that was about it. Not something I would run out to buy and I don't even want to check to see how over priced it is.
  • Benta Berry Scrub Fluid. I must say at first I was confused as to what this was, I thought it was some kind of moisturizer. Definitely not. This was a face scrub that was pretty good, but again not something I would run out to buy.
  • Sebastian Penetraitt Repair Conditioner Sample. This performed no better than a regular conditioner, so pass.
  • Givenchy Mister Light Sample. These cream products just don't work well with my oily skin so needless to say this was not a hit in my book. Highlighting is also something I never think to do.
  • St Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Wash. This is my all time favorite body wash, makes my skin so soft and it smells so good! I have about 2-3 bottle at all time stashed in my bathroom because I just never want to be without it!
  • Equate Nail Polish Remover. Another month, another bottle of nail polish remover, pretty typical. I'm not picky about what I use and seeing as I like to change my polish ever 3-5 days I go for the cheap stuff since I use this often.
  • Benefit They're Real! Mascara Sample. I have so many of these, I actually have another sample size and another full size sitting in my stash! This is my favorite expensive mascara but I must say that I've really been digging the drugstore stuff lately. Once I finish all these up I probably won't buy it for awhile just because I have a ton of mascara waiting to be used.
  • Eos Lip Balm. Maybe it was just this particular flavor but I wasn't a fan and I don't get what all the fuss is about. I thought it was hard and waxy and just not moisturizing. I wouldn't buy this particular one again, but I have a few other flavors that I'm willing to give a shot.
  • Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes. I wanted to like these but I just didn't feel like they were wet enough to do the job without tugging at my skin.
  • Pond's Makeup Wipes. These will always be my favorite makeup wipes. As I keep saying I'm trying to move away from wipes just to be nicer to my skin but given a choice I will always pick these over anything else!
  • Be a Bombshell Mascara. This technically isn't empty, I didn't even use it once but the smell is so horrible. A cross between rotting food and dead body the thought of putting that anywhere on my body, and especially close to my eyes, ain't gonna happen. One sniff and it went straight into the bin, but I felt it my public duty to put it in this empties as a warning to all.
  • Ole Henriksen Truth to Go Wipes. Again I wanted to like these but the smell and lack of moisture, it just didn't work for me.
  • Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser. This stuff isn't bad except for the slight clay smell to it, I prefer the foaming version so I won't be picking this up again anymore.
  • Jergens BB Body Cream. Seriously the only thing that worked with my dry patches so this is something else I've started hoarding for especially for summer since I don't believe in wearing pants (not like that, shorts, skirts and dresses FTW!) and one tube really goes fast. It's pricey for a drugstore lotion in my opinion ($12!) but I think it's worth it.
  • Maybelline Define a Brow. This was my Anastasia replacement and I LOVE it! My only complaint is that the pencil is soft so it breaks really easily and therefore I got through these fairly quickly. Any tips on this?
