What's in my Trash?! #9

I was scared for a second that I wouldn't have enough products for a full on empties post this month and then suddenly I accumulated an overwhelming amount of stuff. It's exciting because I seem to be moving away from sample sized things (cop out!) and have more full sized products to share. There are definitely some amazing products that I've used up and sadly won't be able to repurchase so I'm excited to share all my trash from this month with you guys, let's get started!

  • Becca Foundation Sample. First up is this card of foundation samples that I received from a Birchbox. I was not a fan, this did not work well with my oily skin and none of the colors exactly matched. Besides that though each pod had a generous amount of product and was actually enough to cover my entire face, so while the sample was a miss, the sample size was a hit. Won't be something that I will pick up though.
  • Vasanti Detox Facial Cleanser. This sample came free with the purchase of my beloved Enzymatic Scrub and it was pretty decent. It made my skin feel squeaky clean but I hated how it was a pour out bottle so it was hard to control the amount of product that came out. It was a decent cleanser but not something I would purchase.
  • Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Cream. I love this moisturizer, it's my go to morning product because it leaves my face feeling hydrated but not greasy. Unfortunately I've been unable to find it in stores lately so I've been using the Simple equivalent of it and I think I might actually like that one better. Probably at some point I will switch back to this one but for now I'm happy with the Simple gel moisturizer since it comes with a pump.
  • Aveeno Face Sunblock Lotion. Not exactly empty but this thing is just so old. I tried using some and it was smelling funky so it just needs to be tossed. I'm not a huge fan of this (and sunblock in general) it's kind of thick and really greasy so not something I will repurchase.
  • DDF Acne Control Treatment. Real tears were shed when I finished this. I love this spot treatment, it's amazing but it's also amazingly expensive. Unless my skin keeps on reenacting it's teenage years I will have to resist not picking this up again.
  • Glam Glow Youthmud. This sample lasted forever! I love the tingles this mask gave but I really didn't see any miraculous results with it, and it's quite pricey, so this is also something I will pass on.
  • Maybelline Define A Brow. I've been on a brow powder kick lately but this is a great pencil that I toss in my purse for touch ups on the go. I have a stockpile of these so don't worry there is already a new one in rotation and three more waiting in the wings!
  • L'Oreal Power Moisture Hair Mask. This was the most ineffective moisturizing hair mask ever, it was no better than regular conditioner and I felt like it was very heavy in my hair and caused it to get dirtier faster.
  • Infusium 23 Leave In Treatment. I've had this for awhile now and I don't actually like it as a leave-in. I tend to leave my hair alone after I wash it, the only time I put product in is if I intend to wash it later that day. That being said this was a decent pre wash treatment, I would soak my dry hair in it before hopping into the shower. There wasn't huge differences (regular conditioner for a dry hair mask works better!) so not something I would repurchase.
  • Serge Normant Dry Conditioner. I actually love this stuff! But again I don't like putting anything into clean hair so I can't justify buying a full size of this stuff when it would rarely get used.
  • Garnier Cleansing Oil. Love love love. This gets off every speck of makeup and even the most stubborn mascara! This is something else I have stockpiled because I just never want to be without it!
  • St Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Wash. Another one of my must have products. Makes my skin feel so soft and it has the best scent ever. Also stockpiled this because for awhile my local Walmart didn't have this in inventory so I freaked out a bought a ton of them the second it restocked just in case anything like that would happen again!
  • Michael Todd Cranberry Antiox Toner. I'm not crazy about this stuff it's just okay but I have a few bottles I'm looking to use up. Won't be repurchasing this once it's done though.
  • Secret Deodorant in Summerberry. Smells so good and it's my favorite deodorant that compliments my perfume great! Again. Stockpile. Anyone else sensing a common theme here?
  • Keims Hair Care. This was actually a great clarifying shampoo but it was overly minty in smell so I wouldn't buy a full size of it. Really did a great job stripping everything out of my hair though and I'm interested in seeing if there are similar shampoos from this brand with a less offending smell!

  1. I love the Vasant I enzymatic face rejuvenate and was wondering if the cleanser was any good, thanks for the info. And that Garnier Cleansing Oil?? Amazing, I love that stuff
