Whats in my Trash?! #12

Welcome to a less cracked out version of What's in my Trash?! This month we returned to the normal 15 products and I'm pleased to have worked through more of my stash and also to have found some great products! This month I worked through some staples and mourned the end of a favorite foreign product that will be difficult to get my hands on again. Let's get into the trash!

  • St Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Wash. Another bottle of my favorite body wash gone! I really love everything about this from the neutral scent to the way it makes my skin feel. I hoard these uncontrollably so I'm never without them!
  • Garnier Fructis Dry Shampoo. It took a long time to find the dry shampoo my hair loves as much as the Klorane one (loved the product not the price tag) and I'm pleased to say this is it! Drugstore, smells AMAZING, and leaves my hair soft and flexible (as well as looking fresh). This one really hit the jack pot and I'm pleased to announce the end of testing out mediocre dry poos! Just to name a few that didn't work with me: Tresemme, Pssst, Batiste, and Suave. So if you couldn't tell from my soap box I will definitely keep purchasing this!
  • Soft Lips Pomegranate Blueberry Cube. Awhile back I have the vanilla variation of this guy up here and I wasn't a fan. I didn't expect to like this anymore but the formula was different and way better than the vanilla. I still have quite a few lip balms to work through but I think when I'm done there I will be stocking up on these cubes because it was effective and the packaging is adorable. I actually might have one more of these waiting in my extras bin.
  • Simple Gel Moisturizer. Oily skin calls for a gel moisturizer during the daytime to provide the hydration and not add to the oil. I really liked this stuff and how it came in a pump, but again I'm working through my stash of items so for now I won't be repurchasing this. However this will be my go to daytime moisturizer once everything is gone.
  • Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion Sample. I really liked this stuff but not the price tag, but then I discovered that Derma E's microdermabrasion is basically a dupe (same scent, appearance, feeling on skin and results) for much cheaper, and then I found a different scrub (Kiwi Scrub FTW!) that I like much better so in the end I wasn't too sad to finish this nor will I repurchase it.
  • Kiehl's Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment. I don't even know how long I've had this but it's finally done for it. It's a nice eye cream that is thick in the jar and almost turns watery as you massage it in. Right now I'm more worried about keeping my under eyes moisturized and not fighting any lines or dark circles yet so I've found other things that are thicker and more moisturizing so I probably wouldn't repurchase this.
  • Cali Cosmetics Body Creme. Ugh this was so cleaning product lemon smelling it made me gag. Thankfully it was a small bottle so it was done after a few uses. No I will never buy this.
  • Annabelle Skinny Brow Liner in Universal Brown. I LOVE this brow liner! It's the perfect color and size for a very natural brow. On the upside I have one more spare in my collection but the downside, this is a Canadian drugstore brand. I'm going to need to lurk out anyone venturing to Canada in the near future and have them pick me up a whole box full of these!
  • Beauty Protector Hair Mask. This is the second little sample jar that came in my Birchbox sample. This just really didn't play nicely with my hair even though the strawberry smell is divine. I wouldn't buy this stuff.
  • Smashbox Photo Finish Blemish Fighting Primer Sample. I loved this primer! If I wore foundation more I would 100% buy the full size. But it's an expensive product that just wouldn't get a whole lot of use from me so I will just continue to hope for samples!
  • Latisse. I finished this a long time ago but somehow it got lost in the shuffle and I only just found the empty bottle. This stuff really works with my lashes so I will keep getting it!
  • Hey Honey Take It Off Mask Sample. This smelled really good and it was fun to peel off, but it didn't impress me. Other peel off masks I've tried left my skin feeling soft and clean and there was barely a difference. Not something I would buy.
  • Murad Essential-C Day Moisture Sample. This has a REALLY strong smell of oranges and sunscreen, not too pleasant. More importantly it made my face really greasy so this is not something I would purchase.
  • Peppermint Stick Lip Balm. This smelled really good and felt tingly cool on my lips but it wasn't very moisturizing and I had to apply it about every 20 minutes. Not something I would get on my own.
  • Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait. This was in my Project Pan and I can't believe I finished a lippie. I love lip butters but I probably won't buy this again simply because it is super sparkly. If I wanted a more neutral color from the line I think Creme Brulee would be the way to go.

  1. That's a lot of empties! I'm so bad at finishing products, so I definitely need to take a leaf out of your book. I'm not that impressed with the Revlon lip butters, the shades are a bit too sheer for my liking. xx Rebecca - UK fashion blog
