Unboxing: Memebox Collaboration #9 Soothing Sista

Well my friends, the time has come, this is my last Memebox and I don't have any intention of purchasing anymore for a long long time. During my long dance with Memeboxes I found there were just more misses than hits and it's clear to see that the curation of these boxes has seriously suffered and just making them not worth it anymore. Also these boxes must be signed for now so often I'm missing the mailman and having to make an extra trip to the post office, plus they charge sales tax now! So everyone join me in a moment of silence for this final Memebox unboxing.

For those that don't know what I'm talking about Memebox is a Korean beauty non-subscription box that sells boxes of surprise products curated with different themes in mind straight from Korea! Like I mean your box is shipped to you FROM Korea! These are great deals because boxes typically run between $19 - $39 (there are more expensive ones) but the value of the boxes are usually double and often triple the price you pay!
This one is the Memebox Collaboration #9 Soothing Sista which is one of those boxes that reveal all the contents right away and this one was very skincare heavy. Memebox really has skincare down pat and there were a few items that really piqued my interest so it seemed like an appropriate final box. If I didn't pull the trigger on this one the Blackout/Apple Mojito fiasco would have been my last!

Most often found on the streets of San Francisco, Soothing Sista AKA Stephanie Villa is taking the YouTube world by storm with her skincare, makeup and fashion tutorials. Showcasing looks for the edgier goddess in you, Stephanie isn’t afraid to take a risk. She’s hand-picked hottest skincare and makeup products of the month straight from Korea, which we’re sure you’ll love!

I honestly don't remember when this shipped but it took something like two and half weeks to actually arrive, plus it spent a few more days at the post office before I remembered to go collect it. It was finally in my hands on December 16th.
Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever Primer | Retail: $12
TonyMoly Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm | Retail: $9
Let's start with the pore centric items. First up is one of those primers that is suppose to fill in your pores and mattify your face. These are my favorite types of primers and I love testing out different brands. Etude House is the brand of my favorite brow pencil so I have a feeling this will be a good one. TonyMoly and their adorable egg products! This is a self heating steam pack that is suppose to open up pores and really flush out all that gunk, definitely excited to see how this works out.
Vivito Painting Matte Finish Lip Stick in Red Sun | Retail: $25
Basically the only makeup product in the box and I was okay with it since all the possible variations are very wearable colors. Nothing too exciting about it.
Vicioni Super Aqua Soothing Serum | Retail: $24
Shara Shara Miracle Capsule Cream | Retail: $15
Seriously never used serums before Memeboxes and now I'm in love with them. This is a great daily serum that works to replenish, brighten, soothe, and smooth your skin. I like that it comes in a little pump because they are a lot easier to use than those dropper bottles. Another tiny face cream, but at least it's an adorable sleeping bear on it. This will definitely get used and it's a very travel friendly size. Most people cringe at tubs of face products but I like them better than squeeze tubes because I can actually use up every last bit of product.
Revecen Blooming Collagentox Sleeping Water Pack | Retail: $24
Dewytree Deep Detox Black Mask | Retail: $3
This water pack jar is so pretty. Plus it has some very fun ingredients such as snail mucin, bird nest extract and ash berries that are suppose to be very good at replenishing lost moisture, firm up and tone skin, as well as even out complexion. Sleeping packs is a new concept to me and I haven't actually tried one yet, but I have a few in my stash now so I think I will soon. Then the last thing is just a sheet mask (this would have worked out great in the Blackout! box) that is formulated with volcanic scoria clay to detox and clarify skin.

Overall I liked this box. It was solid for the $23 price tag I paid for it and I knew it was something I would like before I ordered it. I got a return of $112 in products. I'm sad to say goodbye to Memebox but we have a good run. Who knows maybe in a few months I'll get back into it, but lately they haven't really been releasing boxes anyways and there's a lot of speculation that they are move away from the mystery box model as they are starting to produce their own line of beauty and cosmetics.
