What's on my Nightstand? Bedtime Essentials!

I always enjoy taking a peek into people's personal lives by way of bags, makeup collections and such so I thought why not share what I keep on my nightstand! I'm not going to go full into what is in the drawers and baskets but I will go through the essentials that are on the actual table top part of it. In the drawer is just stuff like remotes, electronics and cables and then I have a basket (not shown) filled with excess products that (shockingly) don't fit in my Alex drawers.

First of all my nightstand is from Ikea, its is from the Hemnes collection which is the same as my bed frame and little drawer unit I have (fun fact). My bedside lamp is also from Ikea, just one of the basic lamp and shade sets from years ago so at this point I don't think they have my exact shade anymore. One thing that is usually on my nightstand that I didn't show is my laptop, it doesn't fit perfectly on it (hangs off the edge quite a bit) so I'm trying to get into the habit of not keeping it there.

So at the base of my lamp I keep two things which are hand related items. I like to keep them out so if my hands are all greasy from putting either item on I'm keep touching to a minimum to restrict transfer of the grease. I keep my current nighttime favorite hand cream which is the Tocca Crema Da Mano in Cleopatra. This absorbs really nicely and smells of delicious grapefruit and cucumber. The other item is my Julep Essential Cuticle Oil. I've been using this for awhile now and I've barely made a dent! This is definitely a product that will last years.
This isn't the best method of storage but I think it looks nice. Currently I've been rereading all the Narnia books and I have this giant book with all the stories that I picked up from Costco a long time ago. Sadly I'm on the last story already so I'll need some new book suggestions soon! I also have a tablet that has a bunch of books on it but lately I really wanted to hold a physical book so this is the one that got pulled off the shelf.
On top of my book is a small ceramic bowl that I got from my PopSugar box that contains a ton of lip products. This is seriously an excessive amount of lip balms but I've been really suffering lately from itchy chapped lips so I have a quite a few open trying to figure out which works best. Sadly none of them seem to be curing the issue but there are certain combinations that can relieve the pain for a few hours.
JoliBeBe Lip Treatment. Slightly glossy and deliciously fruity smelling, this has been the least effective with my chapped lips but before when I wasn't having issues this was a good morning treatment to put on.
elf Lip Exfoliant. This is the only thing I've tried that seems to help it a little. A good scrub and leaving on the sugar to kind of melt down to a sticky mask provides me relief for the longest time.
Coffin Kisser in Vanilla Veil. When I just need a quick coat, or sometimes I put this down first and then layer another treatment on top, this one is super oily and hydrating. This formula is great and I'm glad I have a bunch more of these!
Vaseline Rosy Lips. This stuff goes onto your lips and doesn't melt or rub away easily. However it does rub off sometimes and when I'm using white pillow cases I can't use this.
Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm. After all the rave reviews I was hoping for a miracle, sadly this doesn't do much, but it does stay on my lips all night and doesn't stain pillow cases so I've been using this at night and my lips aren't getting worse but they aren't really getting better either.
Tweezerman Mini Tweezers. Not a lip product but just a pair of mini tweezers because you just never know when they will come in handy!

So that is everything I keep in my reach on my nightstand! Clearly the most important items right now are all my lip products, but otherwise I try to keep the clutter away from my bed and nothing I can knock over and break if I flail around in my sleep.
