What's in My Travel Beauty Bag?

I don't think I've mentioned this to on the blog but this very second I am actually in Taiwan! It's a cross between a mini family reunion and celebrating Chinese New Year. Not something I normally celebrate but the timing worked out like this and I can tell it will be crazy there. So everything you're reading this week is actually pre-written from about a week and a half. Things were crazy packing and getting ready with Valentine's Day inconveniently in the middle of it all (can you tell that I don't celebrate that holiday by choice?). Anyways so I thought it would be fun to share what I brought in my beauty bag, makeup, skincare and all! I don't get the chance to travel often but I was so thankful for subscription boxes now because I was easily able to fit everything into just one bag! Also the fact that this was a family function, I really brought minimal makeup and most days I don't expect to wear anything but a little mascara and filled in brows. So my bag I'm using is an giant makeup pouch that I got from Lancome years ago. I'm pretty sure I've had this thing since college and it really serves me well because it fits all. I kept all my skincare and other products just inside the pouch and I put a smaller makeup bag inside it for my makeup.

The first thing in there are my bath products. I have a set of the L'Oreal OleoTherapy Shampoo and Conditioner, the Softsoap Nutri Serums Body Wash, Michael Todd's Honey & Oat Cleanser (I used up the AHA cleanser and filled it with my favorite gel cleanser), and the Acure Brightening Facial Scrub. Besides the Honey & Oat cleanser I haven't used any of these products before so I'm excited to see how they work and I'm glad I have all these cute little travel sized products!
For makeup removing products, I brought ten packets of these individually wrapped La Fresh Makeup Remover Wipes and theBalm's Balms Away which is a hard waxy balm (basically Vaseline) that gets rid of all heavy duty makeup when the wipes fail.
For the face I brought two different types of serums which will double as moisturizers too, I was somehow low on sample sized facial moisturizers so this will have to do. I have the Herb & Bee AC Control Serum that is great for oily skin so I think this will be a good daytime serum. I also have this Sephora Dark Spot Minimizing Serum which is something I'm not a fan of so I'm hoping I can use it up on this trip. I also have the Pur-Lisse pur-moist hydra balance moisturizer in case my skin needs an extra boost. I'm not expecting this since Taiwan has a tropical climate so it is quite humid there year round. I have the Dr Lin Acne Spot Corrector for any pimples that might decide to surface and my favorite Murad Hydro-Dynamic Eye Cream. I love this stuff so much and I save it just for travel since it's so amazing. This is something I want a full size of once I'm through with all my eye creams in my stash!
The last things in the large pouch is this Ernesti Apple & Honey Shea Butter and Cream which I will double as an all over body lotion too if I need it. And then my toothbrush plus this Go Smile Toothpaste. I was in shock when I got a toothpaste as a sample in one of my beauty boxes but it turned out fine because now I have a reason to use it!
I probably should have broken this up into a few pictures but here is everything in my small makeup bag that is inside the large pouch. I'll just do a quick list of everything starting at the top with my cluster of pink items!
Oil Blotting Sheets
Makeup Sponge
Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush
NARs Radiant Creamy Concealer (instead of foundation going with just a concealer and powder)
theBalm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder
Benefit's They're Real Mascara
Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara
Elf Makeup Remover Pen
Milani Brow Gel
Etude House Drawing Brow (brought for the attached spooley and when I wanted a darker brow)
Maybelline Define-A-Brow
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner
Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet in Black Velvet

And that's all I'm bringing! Very basic makeup, I'm never going to stray from my usual everyday but I still have the option of dressing it up a little with a cat-eye if I need to.

Stayed tune everyone for my What I Ate post as well as an Asian Beauty Haul when I'm back! And if I'm good about it, there will also be a vlog video to watch that I promise I will get up faster than my Iceland vlog!
