Unboxing: Beauteque Mask Maven April 2015

As soon as I heard about Beauteque's Mask Maven subscription box from my friend Rachel, I signed up for a 12 month plan immediately because this is definitely my kind of subscription box! This is justified by me since I cancelled all my boxes except for Birchbox and there's a discount when you go for multiple months!

Mask Maven is a subscription box from Beauteque, an Asian beauty site, that sends you a bag full of various masks each month! For $15 a month, you will receive 9-11 masks that could be anything from conventional sheet masks and wash off packs, to more crazy things such as feet or even butt masks!

I've always been obsessed with masks and lately I've been running through my sheet mask collection so this was a great subscription for me to try out some different masks and brands! This is my first month doing this so I'm not sure if the masks vary for each person, so these are the ones I received and just some quick thoughts on them!

Han Aka Black Rose Acne Fighting Mask
A sheet mask with acne fighting power! I'm all in for this one. This is not a brand I'm familiar with so I'm excited to see the fit of the mask, as well as the moisture level and overall effectiveness!
TonyMoly Red Cheeks Girl's Patch
Now these are from a brand I know and something I've actually seen before in many Memebox unboxings but not something I have ever gotten myself. These are patches designed to go on your cheeks and add an extra punch of moisture. Out of everything, dry cheeks are not something I suffer from but I'll still use them because they are unusual and no matter how oily your skin is, a little extra hydration never hurts!
My Beauty Diary Black Pearl & Red Vine Mask
Yet another brand I am very familiar with, a popular Taiwanese brand. These are great sheet masks that fit my face well and are always heavily saturated with the good stuff. Excited to use both of them because they are flavors (is that the right word??) that I haven't used before yet!
Holika Holika Juicy Mask Sheet in Pomegranate & Mango
I'm a fan of the fruit jelly wash off packs from this brand, so the juicy fruit themed sheet masks seem like it will be something I love. Add the fact that mangos are one of my favorite fruits, these are sure to both be winners!
Etude House VitaComplex Mask
I recently just used a sheet mask from this same line but it was the berry variety. Honestly didn't think it did anything amazing, but I'm still game to try this vitamin themed one to see if I have a better experience with it.
Han Aka Aloe Vera Hyaluronic Acid Mask
This is definitely one that I will save for summertime! I had another aloe vera sheet mask that was a life saver after an unintentional sunburn (all over my face...). It was ultra soothing and helped lighten up my skin a bit to combat the effects of the burn so I'll definitely be on the hunt for more aloe vera sheet masks since I can say with 100% confidence that there will be more sunburnt faces in my future!
Leaders Mediu Amino Clearing Mask
The last mask is another brand that is new to me and targeted towards acne skin so I'm excited to try it out and see how it works!

I do wish you were given the option to customize the masks you receive a little bit more. Luckily (or maybe not so lucky) I have skin that suffers almost everything and is able to handle a lot of different products so I'm confident I will not run into a mask I won't use, but it would still be nice to have a short profile where you can input your skin type and such things. Otherwise I'm very pleased with my first Mask Maven bag and I can't wait for the next month!
