Unboxing: Birchbox April 2015

Another box another Birchbox unboxing! It's strange not having mountains of boxes come to me every month but it is what it is. Sneak peek though, I was pretty disappointed with my box this month which is something that hasn't happened in awhile. I forgive you though Birchbox, you can't be a smash hit every time.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with Birchbox it is one of those monthly beauty sample boxes where they send you a box of 5-6 (sometimes even 7 with bonus extras) samples and deluxe samples. Occasionally there will be full size products too! The brands they send are all fairly high-end and they have a point system and customer service staff that just can't be beat. For $10 a month you are able to select a sample from a select group of choices and have more surprises delivered to you based on your beauty profile! Have I convinced you to sign up yet? If so I would love it if you would do it through my referral link here! Feel free to also go to www.birchbox.com if you want to look around without any strings attached to me.

April 2015 was a partnership with Rifle Paper Co so there wasn't a special theme for the box. I really can't recall what all the different sample choices were but I know what I picked so I think it was all like lip or cheek tint kind of things. I could be totally wrong here.
This month I also did a Birchbox Plus which is the option to add something extra to your box and the add-on is always at a discounted price then what it normally is in the store. I don't always do this, but I fell in love with this Rifle Paper Co Tumbler so I snatched it up. It also came with two notebooks that I'm not entirely sure what I will do with. My tumbler actually came missing a straw so it was Birchbox Customer Service to the rescue and they are sending me a new one! So just keep in mind that yes, this is suppose to come with a straw!
Jouer Tint in Petal
Full Size Value: $22 | Sample Size Value: $10
This is the item I picked because I'm interested in trying out more Jouer products. This is a cute little sample and the perfect size for me to test out but also be able to get through in a reasonable time.
jane iredale Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Pink
Full Size Value: $25 | Sample Size Value: $5
This slightly upsets me, I mean this is almost identical to the Jouer tint that I picked as my sample. I mean it's another lip/cheek stain. I don't understand why they would send me such a similar product in the same box. At least it's a different color.
Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue
Full Size Value: $80 | Sample Size Value: $1
I die a little everytime I get a perfume sample.
Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Moisturizing Shampoo
Full Size Value: $15 | Sample Size Value: $3.50
Enough of this hair stuff. I also do not have damaged hair so this doesn't even come close to matching my beauty profile.
Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Repairing Conditioner
Full Size Value: $16 | Sample Size Value: $3
Does anyone else find it odd that the matching conditioner gives you less product for a dollar more? Anyways this is the conditioner that goes with the shampoo, again, hair care, I don't care for it.

Box Value: $22.50

This was a very blah box overall. I got two of the same products essentially and then three other types of products that I absolutely hate getting. Oh well, fingers crossed that next month will be better, and at least my Birchbox Plus kind of makes up for it!
