Review: Adovia Purifying Mud Mask

Are we surprised that I managed to get my hands on another face mask to review?? No? You guys know me well. Huge thanks to Brandbacker for hooking up this opportunity for me! The last dead sea mud mask I tried out wasn't the best match so I was interested in finding a different brand that would work out better. Today I have for you the Adovia Purifying Mud Mask that is formulated with a blend of dead sea minerals, aloe vera, and vitamin c! This is a great blend of ingredients that works toether to pull out toxins and unclog pores, drawing out excess oil, deliver hydrating to counteract the drying nature of the minerals, and help improve the skins overall complexion and smoothness.

Adovia is a brand from the parent company goPURE Naturals and here's a bit about the company:

goPURE Naturals was started by Erin Keyan who after becoming a mother was shocked to discover how many products contain toxic and dangerous chemical ingredients. She formulated goPURE Naturals with the goal of developing a brand that women can trust to contain only the purest and natural ingredients, while making them look and feel their best.

The blend of minerals, aloe vera, and vitamin c is really great for the skin and helps to supply nutrients to maintain elasticity and a soft, even texture. It helps with oily skin, blackheads, and drying out blemishes without completely stripping your skin like a lot of mud masks often tend to.

First impressions: this stuff is mud like! It's very thick and a little tacky rubbing it onto my face, so a little really goes a long way! It's a better experience then I've had with other mud masks because of the consistency because it stuck to my face nicely and it was easy to spread a nice even layer all over my skin. Once it was on it took about 30 minutes to dry completely and it never felt itchy or tight on my face which is also something I've always experienced with other mud masks.

When I went to rinse it off I experienced something different in that while the top layer of the mask was dry the mask was actually still quite wet underneath. This indicates to me just how hydrating the mask is which is really surprising for a mud mask. Right away I noticed that my skin was touchably smoother and my pores looked cleaner. I definitely recommend this mask for those looking for a deep cleaning mud mask that does the job while still hydrating your skin because this one does an awesome job!

  1. Love masks however whenever it's a 'Dead Sea' mask my skin feels weird. I'm not sure how I would describe it. Anyway... great Review
