Current Movie Checklist

I absolutely love watching movies but the problem is always finding the time to do it! Summer is the best time for movies in my opinion, some of the greatest flicks come out during the time. I know usually I do a long list of movies near the beginning of the year but it's firmly into summer at this point and I realize there's a few movies that I'm just itching to see, including things that have already come out! So I really wanted to share a few movies that I have yet to see:

  • Tomorrowland. I love science fiction/fantasy movies of alternate worlds probably because I grew up as such a dreamer. I was always dreaming of living somewhere different with different laws of science. I love the wonderment in these worlds that people come up with so this movie has been out for awhile now I haven't gotten a chance to see it. At this point I might as well wait to rent this when it comes out on Bluray.
  • Max. I'm a sucker for animal movies and when I saw the trailer for this about a bomb dog I knew I had to see it. Then I found out it came from the director of Marley & Me and I just knew I was going to cry. Not many movies make me cry but for some reason dog ones get me every single time. The one movie I cried the most at has to be Hachi, if that's something you haven't seen before I highly recommend it. It's about the loyal dog who waited everyday at the train station for his master to come home, it will have you in tears if you're a dog lover!
  • Minions. Despicable Me is hands down one of the best animated movies out there and those little yellow minions is what makes the movie so when I found out there was going to be an entire movie dedicated to them, I was game! This movie is the backstory of the minions basically where they came from and how they ended up with Gru. Guaranteed to be funny this one is out this weekend and I'm going to see if I can go see it!
  • Pan. For someone who loves fantasy worlds it's pretty obvious that Peter Pan would be one of my favorite stories. No joke I've watched every variation of Peter Pan movies several times and I can't count how many nights I've spent wishing a boy and fairy would show up at my window to fly me away to Neverland. Sadly I think I'm a little too old to go anymore but I can still love the story, so I'm excited to see the newest take on one of my most beloved stories.
  • The Martian. A man left behind on Mars and the heroic story of his crew who declares mutiny to rescue him. The trailer alone had me on the edge of my seat and I can tell this will be a great thriller so I'm a little bummed that it won't be out until October! This is one of those movies where that I just saw that teaser trailer way to early and now I'm nearly dying of anticipation to watch it!
  • Sinister 2. This one is a sequel and the first movie is just one of those movies where I'm always describing the scenes to someone but I can never remember what it is called! I love scary movies, the ones with the jump scares not the gore, so this is right up my alley. The premise is there is a cursed murder house and everytime a family moves in one of their children gets possessed by the boogie men and murders their family. It's creepy and full of jump scares so I'm looking forward to one this one finally hits the theaters in August. Now I'm not too sure about watching it in theaters but it's on my list for things to watch!
