Friday 5 Faves

It's been a hot minute since I put together one of these posts. This time of the year is just so good it was tough picking just five things. I love September, not only because it is my birthday month, but it is the beginning of fall, my favorite season, as well as the time everyone goes back to school so traffic and the amount of people roaming around drops. The flip side of that is going to malls during the weekends becomes a big no-no but I make it work during the week around my work schedule. Anyways, here are the top five things I'm loving lately.
  • Love Myself by Hailee Steinfeld. Do I move through songs too quickly? It's not just each time I find a new favorite song and just play that but it actually all goes onto one big playlist. In fact if you missed it, last week I shared that playlist which is a compilation of probably 2-3 years worth of songs I've been obsessed with. To make the list it has to be something I play nonstop for at least two weeks, I digress, this has all been explained before. If you read that post you might have been able to piece together that my new song addiction is this one. It's just a piece with such a positive and uplifting message and it helps that it has a very catchy beat. There is a raunchier side to this song which I won't discuss, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's a very fun song to blast and sing to. Check out the song and music video here!
  • eos Lip Balms. This is such a 180 from how I felt before. My first experience with eos was quite negative. I simply chose the wrong flavor and based my entire impression on the brand with it. I didn't realize how much the formulation varied but since then I've tried a few other ones and I'm actually a huge fan. They aren't the most travel friendly since the packaging is huge and bulky but as something to keep on a nightstand or a desk it is perfect. The ball doesn't roll around or disappear on you and it looks unsanitary enough to deter others from borrowing it! Currently I'm a huge fan of the Honeysuckle Honeydew and Coconut Milk variations but I'm looking to get my hands on the limited edition summer trio before the season is officially up because I want that Strawberry Kiwi one!
  • This dress here. Somebody please talk me out of this because $70 on a basic maxi dress is just mental! It turned into just wanting one to now I want it in navy, black, burgundy and possibly the grey! It's just so versatile and I keep fooling myself into thinking that I could wear it enough ways to make the price tag worth it but I think I'm just crazy. I need some serious help either way, an intervention or a blessing so if you have an opinion on this please let me know in the comments!
  • Artichokes. I'm surprised this hasn't made the list yet but for a long time now I've had an obsession over artichokes and I think it's just getting worse. I love the four packs from Costco and I can easily eat an artichoke a day if I was allowed. I mean there are worst things to be hooked on to besides a vegetable so I say this is a healthy and totally acceptable food addiction to nurture.
  • Pumpkin Pecan Waffles. It's that time of year again where the fall candles make their debut in the store and I recently changed my Wallflower air freshener thing to a pumpkin pecan waffle scent and I'm in heaven. Ever since I discovered this scent about 3-4 years ago it has been my go-to scent for all months that are spring and summer. I go into Bath and Body Works with the intention of picking up an array of scents but I always end up leaving with just about 10 jars of pumpkin pecan waffles. It's waffles, pumpkins, and pecans. I can't even describe just how delicious it smells. I'm so excited it's appropriate to burn these candles again and it's kind of sick that I'm looking forward to getting myself to the store just to see what the packaging looks like this year!
