Haul: Birchbox Store + Diamond Candles!

I've got a mini haul to share today! I was inspired by a clearance sale and the need to spend some expiring Birchbox points and conveniently both orders arrived at the same time. Hauls are scarce on my blog now (there is another one coming soon!) but these are always fun to share when I have them so here we go! If you remember awhile back I did a Wednesday Wishlist: Birchbox Edition and now was the time where I picked up a few items from that list. I received an email that my Birchbox points were about to expire and since they never tell you how many I thought I might as well just spend them all! I had over $100 worth of Birchbox points so I really went crazy in the store even going for a big ticket item that I had been eyeing for awhile. The other half of it was that I was scrolling through Instagram one day and I saw someone had ordered Diamond Candles. That reminded me that I like those things and I decided to shop their clearance section and naturally I found some scents I was interested in so I picked those up to. So enough rambling, let's get into the goodies!

Diamond Candle in Wild Berry Pancake. I was hoping for a more pancake scent but this just straight up smells like blueberries. I probably won't enjoy this one as much as the others but we'll see once I actually burn it.
Diamond Candle in Easter Bunny Bakery. Despite being a holiday themed one, I read the description and it said sugar cookies and I was sold. I'm a fan of these sweet baked goods as a candle, heck my favorite candle of all time is pumpkin pecan waffles so that's pretty telling.
Diamond Candle in Cherry Turnover. The only candle that I have burned so far and you can tell I already fished out the ring. Just realized I never even mentioned that the concept of these candles is that there is a ring in the candle worth $10 and wrapped up with it is a code that could potentially win you a ring worth more money! I only got a cheap ring in this one but it's still pretty cute. This one smells like cherry cough drops but once you burned it, there was more a of buttery pastry scent to it. This gives me hope to the pancake candle being less berry and more cakey.
Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Skin Cleansing System. Here it is my big ticket item! I finally took the plunge and picked up a Clarisonic! I've been wanting one for years and constantly went back and forth, asking a lot of people their opinions on it. This set came with the Mia 2, a sensitive brush head, sample of the gel cleanser, a travel case, and the charger. In the picture I got a little eager and already swapped out the brush head for an acne one which I already picked up, but otherwise that i what came in the box! I chose the very adorable pink color and I've already started using this. I plan on writing a full length review of it plus my experience in about a month or so I won't be saying anything here!
Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner. This is a restock on my favorite nighttime toner. Does it reduce pores? Nope, however I do find that it is quite good at balancing my skin. Paula's Choice is one of my favorite brands when it comes to acne fighting, so this is a solid toner and what I've found works best for me at night.
Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask. Like I mentioned my acne responds well to Paula's Choice so it makes sense to give this mask a shot! If it really is oil absorbing like it claims this may rocket itself up to being a holy grail product. It has some great reviews in the shop so I have some high hopes for this stuff.
amika Silken Up Dry Conditioner. Dry Conditioner is a seriously weird concept but since I loved the Serge Normant sample I've received I decided to give this a try too. This is a popular brand that I haven't had the chance to sample yet in my boxes so I felt I couldn't go wrong testing it out.

Kikkerland Wooden Whale Nail Brush. This little cutie I've been eyeing for so long and finally I picked him up. My giraffe nail brush is ready for retirement but I've been having a hard time finding a replacement with bristles that are stiff enough. As soon as I tested this guy I out I knew this is what I have been searching for. The fact that it's an adorable whale shape doesn't hurt and the size and shape of it all is very practical for usability.

davines MINU Shampoo and Hair Serum. These were the items I got in my mystery pack which is a set of two samples when you spend more than $35 in the Birchbox shop. Both things I've received in a box before and neither were things I was impressed with. The shampoo is a decent size so that has that going for it but otherwise I didn't like the product itself much, oh well.
Corkcicle. This was the current free gift offering, something I always forget to add to my shopping cart! This neat little thing goes into the freezer and then you can insert it into bottles of wine. It will keep a white wine perfectly chilled for up to an hour and it will bring a red wine to the perfect drinking temperature within 15 minutes. Fun, a little gimmicky, but you can't beat free! This will be something fun to bring out for parties, so I definitely see a use for it!
