Review: Sephora Favorites Brow Raising

So let me tell you a story. Once upon a time when I first started doing my brows, yes there was a dark time in my life where I just left them alone, I researched products and stumbled across the Anastasia Brow Wiz. Everyone raved that it was the best product out there so naturally have some failed experiments with drugstore products I decided to drop the $21 for my own. It was amazing though, everything from the color to the small tip for the natural feathery look was perfection.

However after using it for awhile I was noticing that my brows were thinning out, and after doing some more research I learned that this was a common problem reported by people who used this stuff. The twist up part of the pencil was very loose so as you were filling in your brows it would twist and yank hairs out. After I finished up that pencil I didn't buy another one because my brows were already thin. Fast forward a few years, I have since found more affordable alternatives that are drama free, however I really wanted to try it again. I went into Sephora and grabbed it but then this Sephora Favorites Brow Raising value set caught my eye and I realized for just $20 more I could get a whole bunch of other products, and so that is the story how this came home with me.

Now in order to justify this purchase since I really don't need more brow products I've decided to do an unboxing/first impressions of everything that came in this box so stick with me to see what is in here and look for the final value of this entire box to see that I really did get an amazing deal!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown | Value: $21
The reason for this purchase. This box cam with a FULL SIZE of the product and it was in the color that I needed. This product is amazing because the tip is so fine it's easy to make delicate little strokes for a perfectly natural look. The range in colors too are practically dead matches for natural hair colors making this cult favorite worth the hype.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel | Value: $6.67
The only product in here that is not full sized but brow gel lasts forever. Honestly I don't see a reason to buy a more expensive brand since they are pretty much all the same in the end but I'm still into trying it out and seeing if maybe there is a huge difference buying a $20 gel versus the $5 one I get at the drugstore.
Smashbox Cosmetics Brow Tech Gloss Stick in Brunette | Value: $21
I've never even heard of this product before but it seems like a standard twist up product. I like twist up eyebrow products versus ones you sharpen because I find that the ones you need to sharpen are much more harsh and waxy making it hard to be light handed with them. I like that this also comes with a nice spooly and I fully believe that all brow pencils should, it just makes sense!
Kat Von D Tattoo Brow in Medium Brown | Value: $19
I tried an Asian product that was a felt tipped brow product and I liked it. I'm interested to see how this will work for me, the color and everything. Felt tipped products are good for marking and going in to fill in little spots before layering with pencil and blending it all together. Lasts a little longer too.
Benefit High Brow Pencil in Linen Pink | Value: $22
This product has been around for awhile but I could never justify buying it. I'm excited to finally have it, and a full sized one too! This is basically a brow highlighter, which seemed silly to buy since you can easily use any highlighting powder or eye shadow for this but the color is gorgeous so I'm happy!
Sephora Collection Tweezers | Value: $12
Sephora Collection Compact Mirror | Value: $10?
Unneeded item for me but it really rounds out the set. These are two important items for brow care so it makes sense to have. I mean I really can never have enough tweezers I have them literally everywhere that I might possibly need them.

Cost: $40 | Total Value: $111.67
