November 2015 Favorites!

November passed by in a flash. In fact all of 2015 seems to be over. Clearly, it's already December at this point! Lately my skin has still been very oily. The Clarisonic isn't doing good things for it. I mean it is, acne wise but it has gotten very oily. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect chemistry of lotions and potions so for now I'm still staying off of most of the makeup unfortunately. I still have a handful of products I was loving this month, so here we go!

  • Maybelline Falsies Mascara. It's been awhile since I've used this mascara but after trying several volumizing mascaras that were just falling short I decided to go back to this guy and now I remember why I loved it so much. They changed the brush so it's a little bigger now which I'm not crazy about but the formula is superb. If you want chunky and dark lashes, this is your go to drugstore mascara! The waterproof formula is also great too, it doesn't budge all day.
  • Garnier Skin Renew Clinical Dark Spot Overnight Peel. So I've used the dark spot treatment before and I like it a lot, but the packaging was clumsy and messy. It always ended up breaking on me and the stuff would oxidize to this nasty orange goo and I just would never finish it, which wasn't good since this stuff is expensive! As I was just shopping around I came across this pump version of it and I decided to give it a go. The treatment was incredibly helpful for fading acne scars and helping to smooth out my complexion so I take some of this stuff and mix it in with my serum every night. Already I'm seeing the brightening effects of it and I'm confident that this will be just as effective as the treatment without the mess!
  • Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Hydrating Serum. I love Sibu Beauty and all of their Sea Buckthorn goodies. I think I just have the regular cleanser left to try but I'm sure it will be a hit. I love this serum at night, it smells delicious and works great mixed with my overnight peel. It's the good amount of hydrating and brightening giving me some glowing skin in the morning which is sublime.
  • mop Basil & Mint Shampoo. I bought this a long time ago to try as a clarifying shampoo and I must say two thumbs up. The spicy basil scent contrasting with the mint is just a great shampooing experience. It doesn't make my hair squeaky clean, but it does feel very refreshed after use.
  • L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Mascara. The last tinted brow gel I used was the Benefit stuff and I wasn't crazy about it. On a whim I saw this stuff in the drugstore and just picked it up. The color works perfectly for me and it really does fluff up my brows for a more volumized look. However the brush isn't the easiest to work for so I really can't get the ends without it looking like a huge mess. Still I love it. I just use a small lip brush to smooth it on the ends.
  • Color Club Art Duo Nail Polish Pen in White. I'm not sure if I've ever properly shouted out this pen before but it seriously is great. I love that it's a striper and pen in one and has been responsible for some pretty nifty nail art! Most recently my great Hawaiian-ish flower design as well as some of my more tribal looks.
  • Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask. This oily skin is a problem, but this mask is divine. For a full day afterwards my skin feels in control and I really wish I could use it more but I don't just in case it irritates my skin. The smell isn't that great but the feeling after I wash it off where my skin feels unclogged and light is fantastic. I know people say those with oily skin age slower but I think I would give that all up just to experience what it would be like to have normal skin!
