Ulta Cyber Monday Haul!

Technically this order hasn't come yet since I'm writing this up Tuesday night and it's set to arrive Wednesday, but I really couldn't wait any longer to share! I really didn't do much Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping this year but I did place one HUGE order at Ulta! Ever since my Clarisonic, my skin is a lot oilier and hasn't been responding as well to my skincare routine so I wanted to try some new stuff out. It also helped that there were some great deals such as 20% off all Mario Badescu, 3 for $33 The Body Shop items, and other deals, I decided to take advantage of some deals and pick up a whole bunch of skincare to try as well as some items I've just had my eye on for awhile. So let's dive into this haul of items I got, I'll even break it down into categories this time around.

  • Mario Badescu Plastic Bottle Drying Lotion. A long time ago I had a bottle of this magical stuff but from a Korean brand. It really was one of the best things ever for an overnight spot treatment. I've heard really great things about the Mario Badescu variety which is obviously a lot more accessible to pick up than a random Korean brand, so let's see how this compares.
  • Mario Badescu Special Healing Powder. This borderlines makeup but since it's a Mario Badescu item I'll keep it in here. This is a loose powder that is supposedly great for mattifying your skin and its perfectly translucent. Generally I try not to over powder or blot throughout the day since I really find it does more harm then good, and also since "translucent" powders typically aren't, but there are many good reviews about how this is a great non-clogging powder that is also suppose to fight breakouts, it seemed worth a try.
  • Mario Badescu Special Mask for Oily Skin. Since I picked up the Special Powder, might as well try the Special Mask too! I'm a huge fan of their masks, they are strong and do what they say they will do, so I fully believe this stuff will help with oily skin! I've read that seaweed and algae are really great natural ingredients to draw out toxin and balance skin and this is one ingredient I've never tested with my skin so it might just be the magic one.
  • Mario Badescu Control Moisturizer for Oily Skin. Normally I'm not one to buy the "and follow with" product that items advertise, but it was suggested to purchase this moisturizer with the Special products so I decided to give it a go. This is an oil free moisturizer made with Balsam and algae that delivers moisture that skin needs after aggressive acne treatments. I really think I'm not moisturizing properly especially now that it is winter so I need to experiment doing that some more.
  • Mario Badescu Glycolic Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion. I haven't used an astringent toner since the very first bottle that I ever used so maybe it's time to circle back and see how this works out for me. I used to have a grapefruit scrub that did great things for brightening up my skin so this looks like a solid option to try in the morning. The Glycolic acid will really clean out clogged pores from the heavy layer of products from the night before and refresh the skin for the day.
  • The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream. I read some great reviews about this being the holy grail of day creams for oily skinned girls. As I mentioned above, seaweed is a great ingredient for balancing out natural oils so I wanted to give this a shot. I'm really not crazy about the lengthy list of ingredients in this stuff, but I guess let's reserve judgement until I see how it works out for me!
  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blemish Fade Night Lotion. I casually mention my dark spot corrector from Garnier that I love, so when I saw this tea tree lotion that seems to have a similar effect I had to try it. With the 3 for $33 deal going on it seemed smart to pick up 3 pricey items since there weren't limits and this alone is $20! Stay tuned to find out how this worked out for me.
  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner. To round out my trio I decided to pick up the toner in the tea tree line. Tea tree oil is a great ingredient for my skin, it responds really well to it and it's been awhile since I've used anything with tea tree also so it seemed like a good choice.

  • it Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer in Neutral Medium. Seriously everybody raves about this stuff so when it was 50% I went for it. I'm kinda feeling like I should have gone for the Tan color but this is suppose to be for your under eyes which should be a shade later so maybe this will work out. We'll just have to wait and see.
  • Physician's Formula Brow Definer Automatic Brow Pencil Brown-Beige. I have a problem when it comes to brow products. I seriously have about 10-15 different products still waiting to be used yet I couldn't resist picking up something new to try. I really like automatic pencils, I feel like it just looks more natural on me, so when I see a new drugstore automatic pencil I just need to try it out! I hope the color works for me.
  • Maybelline Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil in Medium Brown. Naturally I picked up some more spares of my favorite brow pencil, don't really need to go into that too much.
  • NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Vintage. I LOVE their liquid lip creams so when I saw these which are basically the matte version I just needed it! I stopped myself from buying all the colors since I really don't wear lip colors all that often anymore so I settled for juts two. This vampy berry color, my usual favorite shade of lipstick.
  • NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft-Spoken. The second color is this neutral dark nude-y color. It looks really brown but I looked up swatches and it just looks so beautiful and natural. I hope these are just as nice as the regular liquid lip creams!

  • C. Booth Honey & Almond Body Butter. I just love this scent and I loved the body wash, random I know, but I have quite a few body washes right now so I wanted to try out the body butter. It's winter, but in general, I need to get back into the moisturizing game because my legs are seriously horrible right now.
  • Yes To Coconuts Polishing Body Scrub. I've been wanting to try something from this particular line in awhile so when I stumbled across a body scrub I picked it up. I have yet to find a favorite body scrub yet so for now a constant parade of products runs through my bathroom so I'm looking forward to see how this one does.
  • Eco Tools Dry Body Brush. I've read so many benefits on body brushing that my random scrolling through Ulta has encouraged this. Actually I think this was in some sort of buy one get one half off section of the site. You literally dry brush your body in upward motions and it's suppose to exfoliate your skin as well as help to circulate blood and detoxify your body. I'm not sure how much of it is a hoax but I mean I'll try it out!
  • Eco Tools Spa Moisture Socks. I mean whatever deal I mentioned before these were thrown in with the body brush. Silly thing really but why not have designated overnight lotion socks? These are designed for that purpose so it looks like the lotion shouldn't seep through.

  • Poo~Pourri Before You Go Toilet Spray. This is silly but there has been a lot of talk about this randomly and I couldn't resist adding it to the cart. I mean let's see if it works! This might be a little TMI for people but let me know if you're interested in knowing.
  • Absolute New York Exfoliating Foot Mask. I've been trying to find an exfoliating foot mask for a reasonable for awhile and there's no like the present for it! This is suppose to be like the Baby Feet where your feet will shed for a week so I'm so excited to try this out this weekend!
  • Karuna Single Exfoliating+ Foot Mask. A little more expensive then the other one, I  decided to just go for it and purchase both of the ones marked exfoliating foot masks and see which works better.
I also received a free Mario Badescu gift set as well as one of those makeup bags full of samples but I won't bore you with all of those. So that's the end of my massive Ulta haul, I really can't wait to start testing all this stuff out!
