December 2015 Favorites!

Hello January first. I'm so thrown off by my schedule, I feel like this should be a different post being the first of a whole new year but I guess a reflection on favorites from the last month is as good a post as ever. Once more I have a handful of skincare products to share. I've started introducing new products into my lineup and I've definitely found some stuff that isn't working out so well, aka breaking me out horrible, as well as some things I'm loving, but could also be breaking me out? It's still up for debate. Anyways, let's take a look!

  • First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Purifying Mask With Red Clay. First up is this peel off clay mask. I seriously need to stop buying face masks, I have such an excess of them, but I've been wanting to try something from First Aid Beauty and this product is so raved about, it made sense. This really turns your face red, it's kind of creepy, but afterwards my face feels so fresh and clean. I love doing this about twice a week and I've noticed cleaner pores for sure!
  • The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream. I'm on the fence about whether or not this is causing me to break out but it's so fantastic, I might need to just change something else to accommodate it. I think seaweed may be the ingredient that my face has been looking for! Ever since my Clarisonic, my face has been getting very oily. Seaweed is suppose to be a great ingredient for balancing skin chemistry and this has been working great for me! It does keep me matte for longer, about 3-4 hours after application, and while the oil does start sneaking up, I'm considerably drier than days where I don't use this stuff. A little goes a long way, so this was definitely a great purchase.
  • Absolute New York Exfoliating Foot Mask. I almost knocked this down but it took a full 5 days before the magic worked on my feet. I started shedding like a snake for about three days, it was disgusting. I had to wear socks at all times as to not freak myself or anyone else out, but I've been rewarded with some baby soft feet and the obsessive task of keeping them that way. It was most amazing in that it peeled the skin around my cuticles and heels, not just the bottom of my feet. I have another pack of this, I can't wait until I can use it again!
  • Essie 'In The Lobby'. This beautiful cinnamon cranberry color is a dream. When I picked it up I thought I had other reds like it, but this color is so much more! It's a great color worn alone or paired with an array of toppers. I do need to expand away from these plummy and dark red colors, but I'm happy with it!
  • Sephora Formula X Alchemy 2. Of course this update to one of my favorites has to make the list! It's not quite as beautiful and beloved as the original, but I'm still a solid fan. It's such a soft neutral color for me that blends well with my skin tone however there is the extra sparkle and glow which makes it fun and very appropriate for the holiday season.
  • EcoTools Body Brush. Honestly, I'm not sure if this is doing anything crazy for me since it's only been about two weeks, but it feels good to brush my bodies, I mostly just focus on my legs and in the long run if I can get some soft and glowing skin, I won't be mad about it. I love using this thing every night before I shower and I'm not sure if it's the renewed moisturizing efforts or this thing
  • NARs Radiant Creamy Concealer. An oldie but a goodie. I need to give a shout out to this amazing concealer simply because it's been awhile and with the recent breakouts I wanted to combat the redness a little. Seriously you put it on and it covers everything and then just stays there all day.
