Unboxing: Fabletics January 2016

I'm such a cliche when it comes to January but it really was a coincidence that this all happened. This year my boyfriend and I decided to get more active by going on hikes or longer walks with the dogs every Saturday. We're setting out on this as a way to get ourselves out of the house as well as giving the dogs the exercise that they need instead of just tearing around the house and yard like little demons. I have a great new pair of shoes to wear but sadly as I was combing through the rest of my clothes I was finding that they either didn't fit (most of them) or they were quite worn. The fit thing was a huge wakeup call for more. I really had no clue where to start and since I didn't want to spend a ton of money on clothing I decided to look into Fabletics.

Fabletics is Kate Hudson's active wear company and they have a great VIP program where you can get a discount on complete outfits every month. Membership costs $49.95 per month which goes towards the cost of your outfit each month which always ships free! First time users get an even bigger discount for their first month which is playing just $24 and outfits are discounted accordingly. To start out you take a style quiz which then suggests outfits for you but you really have the pick of everything available. You have the opportunity to skip any month between the 1st and the 5th and if you don't skip or choose an outfit your card will be charged the $49.95 but it remains in your account as a credit to use anytime.

I really had no clue on sizing for this either but after reading that it was a free exchange policy I just guessed at the sizes and went for it. I had the general idea that I want tops to be a little looser and the bottoms to be more fitted so let's see if I got it right!

The outfit I chose for this month is the Celestial. It came with three pieces, a top, some bottoms, and a sports bra. Since it was a three piece outfit it did cost a little more than the typical $50 outfits so I ended up paying a total of $38.03. Still a really good price for an entire outfit.
First up is the Switch Back Tee II. This shirt is 50% cotton and 50% polyester. I chose the black color and I went with their suggestions and got it in XL. I tend to size up when it comes to top because I prefer looser and longer tops and with this shirt and I'm glad I did. The arms fit perfectly and while it is a little boxy from the front I think any other size just wouldn't have fit to my preference. I do love the design of this shirt, a simple long sleeve with a twisted and exposed back. This is something I would wear on a everyday basis too and not just for working out.
Next up is the Winn Mid Rise Capri in black. I got these in a size L and I was hoping they wouldn't be too loose because that would defeat the whole purpose of compression pants. These are 88% Polyester/12% Elastane as well as being moisture wicking and chafe resistant. I love that there's the small pocket on the waistband for cards and keys, now I only wish my phone could fit then we'd be in business!
Lastly is the Dash Bra in sienna. I already knew that this would do nothing for the girls and is purely a decorative piece for some low impact walking. I love the back detail nonetheless but it really offers zero support and moving forward I'll probably not choose outfits that include the bra.

Overall, I wouldn't say these are extremely high quality items but they are solid and for the price, it can't be beat. I'm interesting in getting a few more outfits out of this service however this isn't something I see myself indulging in every single month.

I must say I do have a few critiques for this service. First of all if you want to cancel your subscription you'll need to call a number instead of just easily doing it along. Also I don't feel like the styles really change that much month to month so it really does get to a point where
