Unboxing: Birchbox March 2016

This Birchbox came so quickly this month it was kind of amazing. May be there is hope yet for this service and me. Seriously every month I touch on the subject of cancelling but I am locked in for another year. I'd have a hard time giving up the point system and shopping in the Birchbox store to probably ever cancel but there may come a day where there is just too many samples for me to handle.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with Birchbox it is one of those monthly beauty sample boxes where they send you a box of 5-6 (sometimes even 7 with bonus extras) samples and deluxe samples. Occasionally there will be full size products too! The brands they send are all fairly high-end and they have a point system and customer service staff that just can't be beat. For $10 a month you are able to select a sample from a select group of choices and have more surprises delivered to you based on your beauty profile! Have I convinced you to sign up yet? If so I would love it if you would do it through my referral link here! Feel free to also go to www.birchbox.com if you want to look around without any strings attached to me.
The theme for March 2016 is Ladies First in honor of International Women's Day and Women's History Month.
amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo
Full Size Value: $24 | Sample Size Value: $3.39
This month the sample choices were all about hair so I chose this dry shampoo to sample. This has actually been making the rounds in boxes for awhile now and I never received it. I even purchased the dry conditioner off the shop by mistake thinking it was this particular product so I'm looking forward to actually getting to test it out since many people rave about it.
Benefit the POREfessional: Instant Wipeout Pore Cleansing Masks
Full Size Value: $32 | Sample Size Value: $4
I actually haven't heard of this product, but then again I'm very out of the loop about new releases. This product sounds right up my alley, one of my favorite brands and a mask! This is a pore cleaning mask and looks like I can get a few uses out of it so I'm excited to see how it goes. As a bonus they even threw in a sample of the Mattifying Gel.
Not Soap, Radio Body Wash
Full Size Value: $16 | Sample Size Value: $1.29
I swear I've gotten this sample before, I distinctly remember this but oh well. Seems like their sample system is all messed up since this isn't the first time. I think ever since the introduction of the sample selections something got screwed up. At least it's just body wash and something I can finish up a few days. I remember not being crazy about this stuff, there wasn't anything special about it and it wasn't as moisturizing as the body wash I normally use but this does smell delicious, I got the Coconut Milk, Mango and Vanilla scent.
Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio
Full Size Value: $28 | Sample Size Value: $12.44
This is a pretty nice to get some Smashbox eyeshadows and the packaging is pretty cool. I need to get on a schedule so I can start wearing a little more makeup to work and use some of these palettes and shadows that I have just laying around. This trio is Filter.
Cynthia Rowley Beauty Brightening Illuminator
Full Size Value: $28 | Sample Size Value: $10.18
I'll confess I haven't been crazy about the Cynthia Rowley items I've gotten and Birchbox is just crazy about her. This is a highlighting pen which usually I find they don't blend out that well so they end up things I don't use. We'll see how this goes.

Value of Box: $31.30
