Fitness Friday!

I know. This usually should be my favorites post but I've postponed that until Monday because I thought if I waited to do Fitness Friday the following Friday it would have been a full week since April started and that's just silly. So here we are, on the 1st of the month for once to talk about fitness from the past month and what is going to happen this month. Right away I can tell you I failed miserably. I have a lot of excuses but the main one is starting a new job without the luxury of walking for an hour instead of lunch. I'm still trying to get up to speed so a lot of my time was dedicated to working through lunch. We'll get back to there though. I had some good days but in general every day averaged more around 2000 to 3000.

So for this month I'm putting in the same goal that I've had for a few months now which is 42000 steps in a week or roughly 6000 steps in a day. I have a good feeling about April, I have a few reasons to be up and active sprinkled throughout the month so I'm hoping that will really motivate me to keep it up for 30 days. Anyways, let's take a look at the dismal numbers from March.

I've been managing to drink a minimum of 60 oz of water everyday and I've managed to cut coffee out of my diet. The way I take my coffee is horrible, sugar and cream laden, so it was necessary. Instead I've switched to tea to get my caffeine fix and using just a small squirt of organic agave nectar to sweeten the cup. Better for me plus contributing more to my daily water goal. This month I'd really like to add another 20 oz of water a day (I'm measuring this way since my drinking cup is 20 oz) with the final goal being to drink a gallon of water a day, but that will take some working up to. With this new job, I'm happy to be more in control of food now so I'm hoping to move back towards healthier meals.
