June 2016 Favorites

Everything is a HUGE mess right now in my life, as in I'm living construction zones and I'm really not sure where anything is. That means I'm not able to photograph my favorites this time around but I'll add links to each item! Don't worry all the links are non affiliated, I'm not cool enough to have partnerships like that, yet. I actually have quite a few makeup favorites which is probably the reason why I've been breaking out but it's a good thing I've also discovered some good skincare to balance it all out!

  • Garnier Whole Blends Coconut Water & Vanilla Milk Hair Mask. First of all this smells amazing, vanilla and coconut but not a synthetic smell. It smells like something I would enjoy drinking, is that weird? Using it and in the shower it's nothing special so actually the first time I completely wrote it off, but the magic happened once my hair dried. When it was completely dried I found that my hair was soft AND lightweight. It also retained this dreamy state for 3 full days after washing which is amazing. Being a drugstore find that's incredibly affordable as well as being paraben free and consciously made, this is a huge win in my book. I picked up the honey version of this stuff too to test out, so stay tuned!
  • Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam. It's creamy, slightly gritty and foams up really well with a Clarisonic. It leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and refreshed but still hydrated. I don't know, it's just the perfect Clarisonic face cleanser for me. Unfortunately what I'm working with right now is a sample so that's about to run out. I also have quite a few cleansers in my stash that I need to work through but if I don't find anything comparable to this I'll definitely be finding a way to pick up some bottles to secure it a spot in my regular morning lineup.
  • Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer with Calming Green Tea Oil. I've raved about this already so I won't go too much into it but this stuff is so fantastic and I highly recommend both this scent and product if you're looking for an in shower lotion!
  • Pacifica Glow Baby Youthful Face Scrub. I didn't think I'd ever find something from Pacifica that I liked but I finally hit a winner! Made with flax, rose hip, and walnut, this is a slightly soupy face scrub with very fine scrubbers. While using it doesn't feel like anything special, the effects after you rinse off is amazing. My skin feels velvety soft and it's perfectly primed for skincare products. Usually I like more abrasive exfoliants but this one is gentle and super effective. I wish it wasn't so runny, that's my only complaint, because it can get messy and especially since it comes in a jar it's a juggling act to use but that's something I can live with.
  • Freeman's Feeling Beautiful Apple Cider Vinegar 4-in-1 Foaming Clay. This stuff is so cool! It's so fun to put on because you can feel it foaming and bubbling as you spread it on your face plus you hear the little crackling which I get a huge kick out of. Once it's on your face there's a slight prickling from the bubbling but if you aren't rubbing it around it will start to dry into a mask. Washing it off is a joy too because once it hits water it starts to bubble again. I like to rub in a circular motion to have the added cleansing benefit and doing so really makes my skin feel clean and purified. The clay is great for detoxifying and the apple cider vinegar makes my skin glow after use. This has definitely reached the top as one of my favorite face masks and I highly recommend you check it out!
  • Skyn Iceland Anti-Blemish Gel with Willow Bark. I think I found the answer to my morning spot treatment woes! Apparently salicylic acid doesn't work too well with my skin but when I use it in the form of willow bark, it packs a punch! This stuff is a lightweight and fast absorbing gel formula that worked well with my skin to combat acne. As mentioned above I've had a flare up with acne lately and this guy has been a power player in calming it down.
  • elf Baked Eyeshadow in Enchanted. A shimmery bronzey pink, this is an oldie but a goodie and one of my favorite all over lid colors. It's perfect when you want just some dimension to your eyes without a dramatic look. This paired with a slightly darker crease color is perfect for an everyday look.
  • elf Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearl. A gorgeous candlelight glow. I raved about this in my haul too so I won't go over it too much. I love using this to set a cream highlighter because it brings such a softness to it.
  • Marc Jacobs Beauty Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator.* It's rare for me to love a cream product since I have such oily skin but this one is phenomenal. The trick I found is to set it with a powder like I mentioned about. It's so easy to just pat the stick directly onto my face or to use my fingers or a brush. This beautiful creamy glow has a touch of shimmer and I love how it's shaped to perfectly fit over cheek bones.
  • Tarte Amazonian clay skintuitive 12-hour blush in Energy. First of all the packaging is gorgeous and second of all this amazing pinky peach really does blend beautifully onto your cheek for an extremely natural blush. It compliments great with my skin and I just simply love it.
  • Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara. This funky mascara wand might have just booted my beloved Falsies mascara out. I didn't know how to feel about the brush at first but it's perfectly shaped to brush every last lash and the fatter part of it really pushes out and fans your outer lashes for a super volumized and thick effect. Mascara, I don't know how you ended up in my makeup stash, but I love you. But I also want to die since they no longer make this mascara.
