Friday 5 Faves!

I have a full list of things this time around and a lot to say! Weirdly enough I've fallen off my usual song favorites, I guess nothing new is really hooking me lately. I have some treats that I'm loving as well as a game and something to watch. I had a hard time narrowing it down again this month but I think I chose a few things that evenly touch on different things I'm in to lately. So without further ado, let's just get right into my current favorites.

  • Eating Right Blackberry Pomegranate Tea. I'm actually about to run out of my second box of this tea at work and I'm a huge fan. I'm actually stopping myself from picking up another box because I have several other teas I need to finish before they go bad. I never thought I was a fan of pomegranate until I found this tea. The pomegranate and blackberry flavors are very strong so I really don't need to add that much agave to it to get it to the sweetness level I like. It is easy to over brew this tea and then it gets that burnt after taste so keep that in mind. This is made with a blend of black and green teas so there is a little kick of caffeine that's the perfect way to start the day. On the other hand I don't suggest the Pomegranate Hibiscus flavor since it has a distinct foot taste and I'm not a fan of the Peach Mango either because it is quite gingery but someone who is a fan of ginger might like it.
  • The Olympics. My schedule since the Olympics has started is to rush through all my responsibilities through the day and then plop myself down during primetime and just binge watch it. Something about the mix of sports and the emotions these athletics aren't afraid to show is truly inspiring and heart warming to watch. I absolutely love the Olympic and what it stands for it and it was actually a childhood dream to work for the IOC. One day perhaps...I also find myself discovering new sports every year, this year it has been white water canoeing! Who knew that was an event?? It's pretty cool to watch the man made course of rapids and athletes battling to steer through gates along the course. Of course the summer Olympics is all about swimming, track, and gymnastics, but I'm thrilled with any other sports I manage to catch along the way.
  • Werther's Original Creamy Caramel Filled Hard Candies. I've always loved caramel candies but these are just a whole other level. I didn't even realized I bought the soft centered ones but I'm so addicted. It's a decently thick crunchy hard shell and then extra creamy melt in your mouth caramel center. I think I'm my first sitting I ate half the bag and it's really hard to not just finish them off. I keep these in a drawer at work for an afternoon pick me up.
  • Pokemon Go. I don't remember if I mentioned this last month but this month I'm still seriously hooked on Pokemon Go. Everyone asks me all the time what my end goal is, and right now it's just to catch them all. I really don't frequent gyms or anything since none of my critters are that high level and that's not my focus right now. Once I've collected them all then I'll set my sights on taking down some gyms! As of now I'm about a halfway there!
  • HauteLook. Unfortunately I've rediscovered HauteLook and now I'm obsessed with combing their household section for decor items. My recent purchases include cast iron frogs, an artichoke candle, bamboo cutting boards, and more. They have some truly unique pieces for discounted prices that I wouldn't normally stumble upon and I'm obsessed. The shipping time is a killer because I'm so eager to get my hands on the items but for the discounted price I think I can learn to be patient.
